We have been touring independently in Greece...Crete, Nafplion and Corfu. This hotel is perfect for a night in Athens between flights or bus travel. If you are a senior ask for seniors rate on the airport bus. We easily pulled our luggage (we pack light!) to the hotel. Up from the bus stop, turn right, hotel is about a block away on the right.......across from the beautiful gardens! Great breakfasts, Turkish delight and water in the lobby, sole meal was good for supper too! Highly recommend!

We had no idea about the exact location of the hotel when we made the reservation. We went to Greece for a long weekend and just thought we good a very good deal and but of travelling wouldn't matter anyway. The entire staff was very very friendly, the room was super clean and the location was just a hit with a big local Metro station less then 5 minute walk away, tour bus stop literally 2 minutes up the road and plenty shops and restaurants on the doorstep. We could have not made a better choice and would return at any given point. Thank you for your kind hospitality.

The Athens' Grande Bretagne is a hotel in the good old style, beautifully appointed with well trained staff and an excellent location on Syntagma Square. Although the ground floor lobby is busy, the rooms and corridors are peaceful. Expect to pay 5 star prices for the on-site restaurants. The basic rooms are quite small but the bathrooms are very nice.

Athens’ central square and transportation hub is within 2 km of the picturesque Plaka neighborhood and the Acropolis. The Greek Parliament building is adjacent to the bustling square, where visitors can witness evzones or changing the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. West of the square on Ermou Street is the one of the most fashionable retail districts in the city.
