Water Front Inn

"I booked this room for the balcony view and it did not disappoint. I spent my time working form the hotel room desk but very much enjoyed the view and location while doing so. A few hiccups that make this review 4 and not 5 stars. Upon check in there was not anyone at the front desk. A sign said the staff member would be back shortly as they were helping a customer. Ok, fine. There was a # to call for an emergency. No big deal. I can wait a few minutes. I went to my car and after 20 min went back and called the #. The staff member was away eating dinner. So I arrived at 5:15 but didn't get to check into my room until 5:40 or so. I unpacked and headed to shower as I had arrived from an 11 mile hike. I go to get in the shower and there are NO towels. I call the front desk and ask if someone can bring me towels. Nope. So needless to say this was not a great start. Honestly, I think I should have been comped for my inconvenience, but the next day I only saw the same worker at the desk and I just haven't got around to calling about it. I ate dinner at the Pho restaurant across the street. It was delicious. I walked to town and if you continue to the totem pole you hit 1 mile. There were about 10 deer on the beach in the morning also. Sadly they were scared off by motor boat the pretended to head their way and some noisy kids."

"I was really nervous when we pulled up because you could tell it used to be somewhat sketchy. But the room was clearly upgraded and renovated with the gray wood laminate flooring, which is more hygienic than carpet. New memory foam mattresses and nice clean white bedding, new coffee keurigs instead of a pot. Oh and the shower was amazing! It had a large shower head and great hot water. The only thing that was a reminder of what it used to be (and what they were covering up) was a huge soft spot in the floor where the floor under the laminate seemed to be rotted away and wasn't attached to the laminate. Even though the parking lot was full, we never heard anyone else in the other rooms or anyone walking by, so that was nice. The receptionist was very nice. There was a section for coffee and breakfast items but it wasn't being used. Overall it was a nice comfortable stay."

"Room was nice and clean for the family. Staff was helpful. Office closed early but they leave the key out. Near to stores and restaurant. Within minutes to Mt Rainier visitor center. This is one of the best place if want to explore Mt Rainier area. Microwave and mini fridge is a big plus. Stayed with family for 2 nights and happy to stay again."
