Americas Best Value Inn-New Paltz

7 Terwilliger Ln, New Paltz 12561-1619 - Map
"Better than the 2 star rating"
This hotel was clean, quiet and over the top friendly. The front desk, the housekeeping and even the other guests were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms, while not luxurious, were clean and comfortable. The complementary breakfast was more than enough to start the day. The front desk staff was helpful and really did seem to enjoy their work. I will be back through this area as my daughter is in college nearby and would be glad to stay here again. The only note I should make is that it is on the other side of the river from Poughkeepsie and Hyde Park. The bridge that must be crossed to reach that side does have a toll to be paid. So, if one is planning on being back and forth across the river, it might be more cost effective to stay in a hotel on the other side.
