First off, the amazing views of Florence cannot be underestimated. The Grand Deluxe room had a very comfortable king bed and was beautifully decorated. Room service was prompt and tasty. Front desk staff were very responsive and friendlyas were the cleaning staff. The only downside could be the noise sometimes created by wedding parties or traffic.

Everything was perfect, very cozy, very friendly staff. The place was designed by an interior designer, so everything was in harmony.
My only criticism was terrible wifi... it was pretty much in the stone ages, constantly no reception. But it turned out ok, I managed to finish a book in the few days I stayed.

The name literally means beyond the Arno, the river that runs through Florence. On this side of the city, Piazzale Michelangelo provides a postcard-perfect view of Florence and the hills beyond. Palazzo Pitti has a rich history, and today houses a large number of museums and art galleries. The eclectic mix of Florentines living in Oltrarno make it a must-see for anyone seeking an authentic Florence experience.
