"Reasonable price. Clean and met our needs."
This was a stop over for an early morning fishing trip. Met our needs perfectly. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable.

"big spacious room"
The room at the Palmer was very large. It had a ceiling fan which was nice. It is on a street with lots of bars where you could here the music with your window open, but it stopped between 10 and 11:00. Otherwise very quiet. Nice historic part of town. +

Pocket Guide: Anchorage Palmer 2 stars Hotels

Palmer sits on the banks of the Matanuska River, 42 miles northeast of Anchorage. Although primarily a commuter community, the area has an agricultural heritage dating back to the New Deal and the founding of the Matanuska Colony. Palmer is perhaps best known as host to the Alaska State Fair, which is in turn famous for breaking word records in growing vegetables that are truly enormous.
