Staying here was a different experience. Hotel harks back to the inter-war years of the grand hotels with decor and furnishings themed accordingly. This theme continues into bed heights (ours must have been a meter from the floor!) and the placement of light switches, which in our room were not designed to be turned off from the bed. However, the staff were lovely, as were the breakfasts served up on the patio overlooking the panorama of Plettenberg Bay with the Tsitsikamma Mountains beyond. We ate at the hotel on one of our two evenings and enjoyed nicely-presented, tasty food with quality wines available by the glass.

Hotel is in a great position on the beach. Our room overlooked the lagoon on the western side and had a balcony with sun loungers, table & chairs and an umbrella. Useful fridge in room but no complimentary bottles of water, which we had at every other guest house / lodge on our trip to the area. Room was large and bed comfortable. Appeared to be more functional than luxury. Staff were helpful and breakfast was good, as was our evening meal at The Lemon Grass restaurant. Good secure car parking and cars were washed - an added bonus.

Stayed for two nights on trip back from Port Elizabeth to Franschhoek. Good spacious accommodation. Nice bed linen and towels and toiletries in the room, air conditioning. Good sized bathroom with bath and shower. The owner was pleasant and knowledgeable about the area.

We stayed in Room 6 in Cottage Pie. Staff was amazing and very proffesional, rooms were stunning and clean. Only complaints are very petty, construction in area (although the Lodge cant hrlp for it and no ashtrays in room. I always forgot to ask so actually my own fault. Overall, 11 out of 10! Great value for money, food was amazing and experience is nothing short of AMAZING and i have been to a few countries around the world that could learn from them! Next time I would take the room with view though. Thanks a mill to all staff there!

While I don't normally share feedback for hotels/ places to stay, for the Christiana Lodge I have made an exception because it is exceptional ! We felt at home from the minute we arrived - everything marvellous. Really excellent place to stay.
