This hotel is well located close to the metro and tram. There are many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is only two floors, but the kind man at the front desk helped us getting our luggage upstairs. The breakfast is adequate.
Tip: get a day pass for public transit, which is good for the metro and the tram. If often is easier taking the tram and you get to see the city at the same time.

Located in Porta Lodovica, this hotel is within 2 mi (3 km) of Ancient City Wall, Cathedral of Milan, and Piazza del Duomo …More
I stayed three nights at the hotel. I was there on a business trip, so I was not looking for a hotel close to any sights. A 10 minute walk would get you to the Lodi metro station, and of course, with the metro you can get anywhere. The stay was comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful. I was in a single room, with a "single" bed, and as you can expect, the room is small - but nothing out of the ordinary for Europe. They have a decent gym, with treadmill, weights, exercise bikes, and an exercise machine. Good hot water, with plenty of force. Very clean room and bathroom. I needed to get a taxi in the morning at 5:30am - and that was no problem. They have a device to call a cab, and it was there in less than 5 minutes.

All roads lead to Rome and the palazzo-lined Corso di Porta Romana follows the route of the ancient Roman road. The Pinacoteca Ambrosiana is a small treasure trove of art including works by Botticelli, Titian and Leonardo da Vinci. Nearby, the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci is one of the world’s most important science and technology museums with over 15,000 exhibits.
