"good location, nice neighborhood and convenient."
The bed was hard and the pillows were older than me. The people were very friendly, I have special dietary needs, and they put food in the refrigerator for me since the hotel rooms don't have a mini-fridge.

"Comfortable room, good location and value"
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful and the location is good. Valet parking is available. They offer a complimentary breakfast in the mornings, which includes things like coffee, yogurt, toast and fruit. The hotel is located in an older building, which only has one elevator. It wasn't a big deal because you can take the stairs once you get your luggage up to your room. The rooms are small (or at least mine was), but it was fine for one person. It would be okay for two people as long as you don't have a lot of luggage. The room and the bathroom was very clean and my room had a nice television and a coffee maker. Note that there is no air conditioning. I was there October 1-3rd. The weather was nice (no rain) and I kept the window open. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. For the area, this hotel was the best value. I would definitely stay here again.

"Nice hotel with no bathroom in room. "
The hotel stay wasn't a bad experience..the room was cosy and performed its function. The only semi problem that I encountered..was the bathroom were down the hal, it was kind if a burden to have to leave your room half naked. 2nd issue was..I like the window open..but the street was sooo loud and as the morning came the noise began to roar..there was no sleeping i, despite how drunk I was the night before

"The pictures are deceiving"
The location is good, and they have free bikes but with a curfew. The bikes had to be returned before dark...weird...and each bike was a $250 deposit!! That is crazy. The hotel smelled really really bad, and had huge disgusting stains on all the carpets in any common areas including the hallways. I was super concerned just walking to the room. Now the room itself did not smell, nor did it have stains!! This is a shocker considering the rest of the hotel. The hotel really looked like a hostel because of its disgusting state. But again...the room was clean and did not smell so that is the most important thing! We were upgraded to a double bed suite...which we thought was a double score, but it was not. Yeah we got bigger beds, but the room was divided really weird so there was no common area to chill. Oh swell. Even with the gross common area, I would come back. The price for the stay was cheap, and the room was nice and that is all that mattered.

"San Francisco Option for Those Looking to Save $"
You need to be aware that this is not the best part of town. The exterior looks rough. The interior rooms, however, are more than adequate. If you want to be right downtown and save money, this is a decent option if you are street wise and not bothered by urban grit.

"Perfect SOMA Room for Exploring Tourist"
Very clean yet typical motor inn. Rooms on 2 levels with outside access. I was out the door and to all the buses in 7 minutes on foot. Micro, fridge, cable, wifi, great air/heat. Nothing lacking. This place was a perfect "home base" for this on foot tourist. SOMA is a very mixed area. Young techies paying $6,000 a month for old 1 bedroom apts. yet lots of homeless on the streets. But don't be put off by that. I never felt threatened, day or night. I found interesting little cafes and shops nearby. And the trendiest dance clubs and nice alternative/punk/metal club/cafe, 3 blocks away. Ethnic food trucks at night and homeless grilling chicken and chops on makeshift grills on the street corner for a couple bucks. Delicious! Artsy little coffee shops. A true San Francisco experience.
