"Brussels is a mess"
For the capital of the European Union, Brussels is a mess. The building regulations are terrible, with huge holes in the pavement left unguarded and unprotected, rubble in the streets and dangerous scaffolding. Unless the city of Brussels authorities do something to make their environment less hazardous for tourists and official European Union business, I would suggest moving the HQs of the large European organisations to somewhere that takes more care over how it treats visitors. I have to pay a city tax on top of the hotel bill. Fine, but hotel managements ought also to insist that the city uses this money to improve the environment around the hotel.

"Ole building renovated"
this is an old building that has been completely renovated and even though its many years, it is clean and confortable with cozy beds and pillows. Worth its price, not expensive

Pocket Guide: Brussels 3 stars Brussels Rogier Square Independent Business Hotels

Brussels’ smallest district, Saint-Josse-ten-Noode lies north-east of the city centre, near the Botanic Gardens and the Gare du Nord. It’s a lively, densely populated neighbourhood of North African and Turkish communities with lots of young people. Fruit stalls and ethnic restaurants provide plenty of local colour. Cultural happenings take place in La Botanique, an arts centre set in a 19th-century greenhouse.
