"Family comfort "
Really for the price it was splendid. We were expected. We were given 2 set of keys on our request. The host agreed to keep our luggage safe after we checked out (12noon). The room and shower room were perfectly clean and the beds were clean and comfortable - we had requested 2 separate beds and were able to get 2 singles. Hot water all the time. Also the location is great especially if one wants to visit the museums - which was our case. Drawbacks : the staff don't speak a word of English or French. We managed OK with gestures, a few words, and my very poor spanish. the shower is very small, difficult to lean to touch one's feet. and the boiler in the room was rather noisy. That is why I give it a 3, but it should get at least 4 considering value for money.

Pocket Guide: Madrid Chueca 3 stars Independent Hotels

A down-at-heel central area in the 1980s, Chueca is now the fashionable gay heart of the city. The Plaza de Chueca is its epicentre, with countless terraces, bars and clubs in and around it. The surrounding streets are packed with cutting-edge shops and restaurants as well as traditional tapas bars. Don’t miss the Museo Municipal on Fuencarral, with its fine baroque entrance and Habsburg treasures within.
