We stayed at the Five Bells as reviews were pretty decent, and we needed to stay close to the Channel Tunnel to head over to France. Overall, the stay was excellent, but there were a few shortcomings. The staff we dealt with were very accommodating and helpful, and the rooms are well appointed. It is deceptive from outside. The rooms look smaller than they are, but once inside, they are fairly modern and roomy. We rented 2 unit, and one had a separate bathroom, while the other had a upstairs bedroom. There were also 2 pullout beds as well. The place is clean and comfortable. There were a couple of minor downsides. One room was close to the street, and you can hear the cars drive by very clearly. This was not as noticeable in the second room. One of the pull out beds was sagging pretty significantly. The others were manageable, but not the most comfortable. But still decent. As there is a pub attached, the night-time patrons made it a bit uncomfortable for check in. But rooms seem safe and secure. Parking is a nightmare of sorts. We already knew there was no official parking, and you can park anywhere on the street for free. But parking was still hard to find. Lastly, we ordered breakfast the night before to be ready for 8:00am, as we had to head to the Channel Tunnel for a pre-booked time, but when we got there at 8:00am, for had not even begun yet. But they were quick to prepare. All said, the goods outweighed the bad for sure.

Fron start to end, my wife & I had a right 'Royal' experience. The room overlooking the sea was inviting & cosy. The huge bathroom was very clean & amenities were lovely. The bed is very comfortable & large & we slept very well.
Breakfast was gorgeous. The salmon bagal was covered in loads of salmon & very fresh. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very restful & relaxing.
