"Great little boutique hotel."
Lovely rooms with all the facilities, great shower, comfy beds, stylish surroundings. There is road noise which we got used to but light sleepers will need to ask for a room at the back. It's a 30 minute walk into town but buses go past the door every 10 mins which we used all the time & it's great to look out of the bus & see the City. Stay are very helpful & couldn't do enough with a special mention to Elena (hope I've got the name correct!) Will definitely be back & have recommended to lots of people.

"Great apartment in perfect location"
Four adults stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment. The bedroom may be closed off from the living room by a large pocket door. The sofa pulled out to a single bed and a trundle bed. This worked for us, parents and adult age children. It was a little tight with the beds open, but we just slept there. The kitchen and bathroom are both clean and adequate in size. Would definitely stay here again.

It's a few years since we've been & delighted that Dokata Forthbridge has maintained really high standards. Staff, food & accommodation all excellent. Only gripe? Breakfast coffee is ordinary at best.

"Not far from the Royal Mile and close to train st."
Very nice apartments, pretty close to the train station and nice pubs (like The Jolly Botanist for those who want to experience the Gin & Tonic world). Also not too far from the Royal Mile. Ahh there's a good breakfast place very close and grocery stores too.

Three Star Hotel Guide for Edinburgh

Edinburgh is a small city full of unexpected contrasts. In the centre you will see people going about their daily lives amid some of the world’s most iconic structures. Inside Edinburgh hotels you will find wholesome traditional Scottish food served with modern flair. It is an enigmatic destination that defies easy explanation.

Book a comfortable stay in a 2 star hotel – any visit to Edinburgh is a truly rewarding experience. Scotland’s capital was the first UNESCO City of Literature and the city is very much like a good book: thrilling, engaging and a magical escape from the everyday.

    Edinburgh City of Literature

Many of Scotland’s best-known writers have called Edinburgh home at some point in their career and this is a fact that the city is proud to show off. Edinburgh has many literary tours and points of interest for visitors, including the café where JK Rowling wrote her captivating Harry Potter novels. Of course, this intriguing city has much to recommend it outside of its literary appeal, with everything from historic monuments to parks and gardens and even the famed Royal Yacht Britannia.

As Edinburgh is a small city, you will not be restricted by location when choosing your perfect hotel. Easily find accommodation in different areas using Expedia’s search tool.
