The location of this hotel is ideal for what we wanted - ie a gig at Usher Hall. The rooms were clean but very small and suited ok as it was only 2 nights we were staying but anything more would have been a trial. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the rooms clean. Good to have parking on ...
We had such a wonderful stay. The bus routes stop just outside the property and the overall area is wonderful and very inviting. We hope to return and will stay at Pollock Halls again.
Wonderful hotel & staff. Delicious breakfast. Only two things I would change: 1)provide a top sheet on the beds. Duvet was too warm, but the alternative (nothing) also not feasible. 2) No wash cloths/"flannels" available. This seems to be consistently absent from hotels in the UK, though. Would have ...
I was welcomed by great front of house staff and my room was large, being a family room. The swimming pool was small but still ok to swim around plus the area was lovely and warm; good sauna and steam room too.

The room was spotlessly clean and fresh towels were provided daily. The room is spacious with plenty of storage. The room also has tea ...
Our stay at the Cairn was most enjoyable, the staff were very pleasant, and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable, the was a wicker basket of goodies for us every day. We would recommend this hotel.
This hotel was perfect for us! We were able to cook with the kitchenette and grocery located nearby. Hotel staff were fantastic. I broke our sink faucet and they were sble to repair it asap! The onsite laundry was the best wash your own or they would do it. My clothes have never smelled so good! ...

Book a comfortable stay in a 2 star hotel – any visit to Edinburgh is a truly rewarding experience. Scotland’s capital was the first UNESCO City of Literature and the city is very much like a good book: thrilling, engaging and a magical escape from the everyday.
Many of Scotland’s best-known writers have called Edinburgh home at some point in their career and this is a fact that the city is proud to show off. Edinburgh has many literary tours and points of interest for visitors, including the café where JK Rowling wrote her captivating Harry Potter novels. Of course, this intriguing city has much to recommend it outside of its literary appeal, with everything from historic monuments to parks and gardens and even the famed Royal Yacht Britannia.
