"Because it’s an old property there isn’t enough plug sockets in the room & trying to do my hair without a mirror by a socket & somewhere to sit was pretty impossible So if your not bothered with this it’s a fine place to stay Missed fresh fruit at breakfast "

"We have stayed here a few times in the past but not for about three years now. Sadly, we were very disappointed . The service used to be exceptional. I asked for a quiet room as we are very light sleepers - we were kept aware by the kitchen fan at the back of our room and the noise from the reception desk. We had lunch there and the prawn skewers were bland and tasteless. The breakfast buffet selection was poor, however the hot meals were very good. The service was dire, staff were stood around chatting and we had to go and ask for our order to be taken. We were not asked if we would like toast and again had to ask for it. When the waitress brought some she did not think to take our dirty plates away. Also, I notified the manager on arrival that the hand cream in the ladies toilet had run out and it was still empty on departure. Unsure if we would return and we have spent many happy breaks there in the past."

"Good location on the main square with on street parking. Nice evening meal but overpriced. I think the owner is new and still learning the hospitality trade. Breakfast distinctly average Hotel public rooms have been refurbished, room nice but bathroom still needed a little attention. Overall we enjoyed our stay."

"Disappointing stay, especially as I have stayed here twice before and previously been very satisfied. There was no hot water or heating, making the room very uncomfortable. I was told on arrival that food orders would stop at 18:00, but not that the menu would be extremely limited with no vegetarian options. Despite being advised the hotel would close at 23:00, the bar was shut and the hotel effectively closed by around 20:30. Breakfast was equally poor, with no staff present, very limited, low-quality food, and again very few vegetarian options. Overall, the lack of basic amenities, poor service, and substandard food made this a very disappointing stay."

"Not easy to find if you follow SatNav. Better to follow directions provided. Very pleasant situation in beautiful countryside. Staff were great, Room was good and reasonably comfortable but we fail to see how it qualified to be DeLux. Just little things would make a huge difference, For instance TV was mounted too high on the wall and therefore not comfortable to watch. Lighting was gloomy. Shower needed a grab rail being an over bath arrangement. Food was a bit of a let down, I started with scallops which were accompanied by a sauce which certainly didn't compliment them I followed this up with Halibut which was excellent. My wife had lamb which again was accompanied by a dominating sauce which if any thing didn't compliment the dish. Overall we had a pleasant couple of days away in superb surroundings. Would we go again possibly not."

"Excellent accommodation. Well fitted/colour coordinated bedrooms. Bathroom spotless/new white appliances/amazing shower cabinet-fast hot water on tap. Warm conditions what ever the weather. Pleasent staff, very obliging. Parking can be difficult. "
