“This was exactly what our little family needed. Cozy, clean, comfortable. It came stocked with random toiletries I’m guessing were left by previous guests. (Thanks to whoever bought the aloe lotion by the way). As well as some beach gear, a plethora of towels and a few useful kitchen items. Checked into a hotel on the other side of the island and immediately missed the quiet little house where I could listen to the interesting night wildlife. The house is older by well maintained. So long as……

“Convenient & quiet location ”

“Great, quiet property atop the Hilo rainforest. It had everything we needed. Communication was excellent. Definitely needed a car to get around. But everything in Hilo was less than 15 minutes away. 4 stars for cleanliness, only because the house, like all houses in Hilo are older. But bedding, towels, kitchen and everything else is clean. We will definitely stay at the property again.”

“Positives: Close to activities we were interested in (waterfall hikes, lava tube exploring, horseback tour, etc). Well-appointed with furnishings, kitchen appliances, BBQ utensils, and the like. Did not want for such items! Mostly private setting with orchard behind house. Improvements: Bedroom windows did not lock, but were elevated well above ground level. Not sure if bed linens were laundered recently, but laundry on-site. No outside trash bin. Cell service not great in the immediate area,……
