"Cute little apartment at the edge of the old town"
Apartment at Freta II is small, with a den/bedroom combo, kitchen, and a tiny bathroom. It's located on the corner of the New Town Market (Rynek Nowego Miasta), 5 minutes away from the Old Town Market.
We stayed at a few places in the Old Town of Warsaw, including on the Old Town Market, and the Freta II apartment has a big advantage - you can get a taxi to the back exit of the building. If you travel light, with a backpack, this may not be a big deal, but with 2 small kids and 4 big suitcases, a stroll on cobble stone, hoping the wheels on your luggage survive, and hoping the taxi is waiting for you, is a trip in itself. I was so glad we did not have to deal with that this time, even tho our windows did not open on the beer-gardens and Siren statue.
The place itself is on "Polish" second story, with means 3rd floor. It'll test your form, but that's no different to any of the other apartments we stayed in. 3-4th floor is the norm. Bath had a comfy tub-shower combo, with unlimited hot water, towels and hairdryer provided. Kitchen has a table for four, small fridge, range/oven and a dishwasher, some plates, utensils. Comfortable for a short stay. Den has a sleeper sofa, TV, and bed is tucked into a lil alcove.
I like the lady that checked us in, she messaged me in advance with direction for the taxi, made sure we were ok, gave some advice on local restaurants.
