“First of all, I was mislead by Palmer house. On Expedia site it was written as a hotel resort. I reserve room using Expedia based on that fact that I am reserving a hotel room. Total amount of charge was $368.98. In reality when I came to this facility, it was a dirty very low-class motel. Front desk person except the fact that this is not a hotel but motel. He told me that they have few good rooms as well. On my question why they sold me motel instead of hotel rooms, he was unable to answer.……

“No staff on property. Heating unit not working. Someone texted me info to correct problem but did not work. No one offered to come look at it. It was late. When we got there window was open and was cool. Never warmed up. Television was horrible. No local channels or ESPN. ONLY ROKU streaming. PARKING WAS HORRIBLE. Not enough parking for a full house crowd. Would NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. NEVER. As far I know no staff was ever on the grounds.”

“The lodge was amazingly convenient on the main highway. Gorgeous views. Friendly staff. Robin was working and he was very professional and friendly. Only reason I would not give it five stars is that the room itself was very basic and simple. Very outdated. Reminded me of a Ramada Inn. So $350/night (off season) and the room wasn’t very nice. Also the highway in front of the lodge is very loud with nonstop loud pickup trucks and cars. I understand this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but just something……

“The condo we stay at was just okay. It could be a wonderful place, as the set up for two people was good, but is in desperate need of a thorough cleaning, painting, and general repair. Almost all the lights flickered off and on. The staff were wonderful. So nice and friendly and did respond to issues that developed (no heat in condo at first), extra towels, toilet paper … truly, the nicest staff at the front desk. We appreciated them so much”

It was very quiet and peaceful right off the winding country road sitting in front of a forest with a beautiful outlook from the dining area.
