"Nice, clean place to stay"
Bring your own pillows! These have to be folded three times to get any real comfort as they fall flat. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

"It's really like a B & B"
Arrived late, left early, so our experience here was limited. Nice folks, very sixties, hippy-commune feel. They appear to have 2 or 3 semi-detached bungalows they rent out, surrounded by a semi-wild garden and veggie patch. Off to the side is a garage, with a curtain, containing sundry furnishings and junk. Not what I expected, but owners were obviously trying hard to please.

Pocket Guide: Sonoma Valley Petaluma 3 stars Hotels

The Petaluma River, vital to the region’s economy in the 1900s, is still active with ships and pleasure craft. The harbor fronts the Victorian downtown district, whose structures survived San Francisco’s 1906 earthquake. These sturdy buildings now house antique stores and specialty shops. Visitors to other sections of town might recognize the high school from American Graffiti, filmed here in 1973.
