Mediterranean Inn

425 Queen Anne Ave N, Seattle 98109 - Map
We stayed at the Mediterranean Inn twice, both on our way to and back from Vancouver. The young people working at the front desk were extremely helpful to us. However, the rooms are small and there is no restaurant with the Inn. The attached Starbucks is good for breakfast. We paid different rates for our two visits and were supposed to have a larger room for our second stay but we had the exact same small room both times. It is an easy walk from the Inn to the Needle and Chihuly Museum and Garden of Glass. There is also a wonderful "Metropolitan Market" near the Inn.

It was over priced but the the staff was nice. The decor was dated and you could tell it was a smoking establishment at one point in time

We found our stay at the Paramount very pleasing. The room was large and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent. They accomodated us with a late checkout as we had an afternoon flight out and I was not feeling well.

"Great central location"
It's an OK hotel, a little bit of updating would suit it. However, for the location at a reasonable price in Seattle is definitely one to consider.

"Good location. Needs in house food and beverage."
Central location. We walked to the Space Needle (took the monorail back most of the way), to a Capital hill restaurant (a bit of effort as its uphill), Pioneer square, and waterfront destinations. There are coffee shops and cafes and gin mills nearby, as the hotel is downtown. But- Alas, I did not bother to check and was not aware this hotel (Oct '15) has neither in house food or drink due to renovation. Not even soda machines. That renders the pleasant lobby rather pointless. It also precludes room service. It would have been nice if the hotel had a flier of local restraints, or at least the number for a pizza shop or deli that delivered in the evenings. The rooms are not large, but neither are they tiny. Our 5th floor double bed room was comfortable and quiet. This hotel is much nicer than a chain 2 star, but absent food and drink available in house I can't rate it better than a chain 3 star.

Hotel Max, a Provenance Hotel

Nice comfy hotel, felt like a master bedroom rather than a hotel room. Great in room and lobby coffee and tea service very tasty neat modern motif, only thing which is not too much of a problem was that we smelled smokey In our room all night. Probably from people smoking by their windows and drifting up to us maybe.

"Could use a bit of updating"
When I booked this hotel, I believe it was rated 4.2 out of 5.0. Although the hotel is adequate, I would not give it that high of a rating. The rooms are clean, but noisy (the HVAC is very noisy). The rooms that we had (there were 4 different rooms altogether) each had a very odd "kitchen" in them. It was outdated and out of place. Many of these rooms needed updating. Staff was nice, friendly. Hotel is situated very well for getting around. I wouldn't NOT recommend this hotel, but I think there might be better choices out there.
