Great location!

"This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location - I don't think any other spot could match the view from the rooms here. There's no common area to gather, other than at breakfast, but there are charming spots in the hallways to sit and look out at the harbour. The breakfast buffet was very good. "

"the man and women at the front desk were amazing. they went above and beyond for us. we were in a car accident (rear ended) on our first day in Iceland (about 15 minutes from the cottages) and were very stuck as we couldn’t drive the car or make phone calls. we got in contact with them and they not only picked us up but moved us into a room in the main part of the building so that we could be close to the front desk to use their phones to make many calls back and forth to our car rental company. their customer service was exceptional and we were so grateful for their kindness. the room itself was clean and having a tv and kettle in room was great. there also was a great coffee machine in the lobby. highly recommend this place. "

Delighful stay

"Without question, this was ideal guest house. From the reception to the public kitchen / eating area to the rooms, everything was spotless. Unexpectedly, there was a major snow storm with a significant amount of accumulation. The plow came in the morning, and there was a vertible UN guest effort in digging out our vehicles. The only concern was the heavy ice along the walkway to the entrance. It definitely needed sand. Two people fell and hurt themselves, one quite badly. "
