We were on the 2nd floor and it got a bit noisy at night, but nothing some earplugs couldn't take care of! The staff was great, room was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!

"Good location to Union Square"
We had an enjoyable to stay at the Kensington Park Hotel. The room was bigger than expected and was very comfortable. The concierge should know more about what to see and do in San Francisco including getting around on the various transport systems - a homeless man (Rodney) gave us all this info which really helped our stay.

Very nice hotel with absolutely friendly and hard working staff.Great buffet in the morning and coffee/tea stand serving you 24 hrs. Amazing fresh- baked cookies every afternoon. But the room was very small- just enough for one petite- size guest. The noise from SF utility service might wake you up in the middle of night - just ask for ear plugs from front desk .This hotel was advertized as a Union Square location ,but ideally it takes about 15-20 min walk to the center. You also have to climb high hill to go back, which makes the location not perfect for elderly people or people with medical conditions.

"Small but cozy."
Room was small, but we were not in it except to sleep. I was a little concerned about lack of AC, but as the staff told me, it was not needed in July. We asked to be in the back of the hotel where it was more quiet and it was quieter than the front . There are larger rooms at the front of the hotel and I would request one of them if I return. The room was clean and we had no problems. The front desk was helpful when we needed directions, cab, etc. It is in a good location in a nice area of the city.

"Definitely coming back!"
My husband and I had such a wonderful stay here. We have had getaways at several of these kitschy, themed boutique hotels in the Union Sq area and the Cornell is our new favorite. Do not skip the Joan d'Arc restaurant, it was fantastic. We were lucky enough to be treated to a beautiful concert of Basque music by a band that was staying at the hotel, unforgettable! If you are a light sleeper, get an interior room, or wear ear plugs, the Tender Nob area of SF can be noisy in the wee hours!

"Was expecting more"
I stayed at king george for 3 nights and 4 days. No continental breakfast which is pretty much standard these days even for 2 star hotels. Rooms are small and I dont think the bed was queen size as described for the room I got. I have a queen bed at home and the bed at king george was noticeably smaller. I would look for other accomodations next time I went to san francisco

"Great staff, old world charm, good location"
Looking for a reasonably priced place to stay with our 2yo for a few nights, the Andrews was exactly what we were looking for. Good location a short walk from Union Sq and very close to several really good restaurants. Very friendly staff made us feel instantly welcome. Nice continental breakfast on each floor in the morning, included with room. Facilities are a bit old - a small old elevator with the gate that closes after you hit the button, no AC (though that's rarely a problem in SF and they have great ceiling fans) - but very clean and comfortable, including surprisingly big closets.
