Stayed at Pierre & Vacances La Daille in late January 2015 and cannot fault the place considering the reasonable cost of staying there. I was expecting somewhere a lot more basic and in a very tired state of repair however I was pleasantly surprised. Whilst it may not be somewhere I would return with my wife it was perfect for the holiday that I had with my friends. Rooms were clean and well equipped however they may be on the small side if you are looking at having four people staying in one apartment, there were two of us in our room and that was plenty. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a supermarket located opposite the building where you can collect fresh baguettes and supplies at a reasonable price considering the location. The location is perfect for the ski lifts and funicular at La Daille and the bus stops directly outside for free transfer to the various ski lifts in Val D'Isere. Good value for money.

Hitel Altitude is perfectly located for access to all slopes and lifts in Val D'isere; access to all lifts within 100 metres. Ski in/out possible, although limited in spring conditions. You are a 7/8 minute walk from the main strip but there are bars and restaurants closer than this. Parking is not onsite but in a nearby underground site which is reasonably priced, convenient and secure; you don't need a car whilst in Val D'isere as free shuttle buses run very frequently and stop near to the hotel (Rond Point des Pistes).
The hotel itself is tired in places and the sound proofing throughout is a bit suspect. We asked to swap rooms after a few days, the staff being more than happy to help. Breakfast served 7-10 was always good although a bit more variety and some cooked options would have been welcomed. Ski room is decent, with lockers and a wall of heated boot racks. Wifi worked well and was quite quick wherever I tried. As mentioned above, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful; I couldn't fault them, they were excellent.
All in all I would say 3 stars for the hotel is about right but that the location is ideal for access to Val's slopes. Given that's exactly why we picked Hotel Altitude I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others; I would happily go back myself. My only comment would be to pack ear plugs of you're not an early riser.

La Daille is great for easy access to the slopes and the hotel was comfortable and clean, the food was also very good. The public areas could have been warmer - and the boot room did not dry the boots, but still a really lovely place to stay.

Small friendly hotel 10 mins walk from centre of Val D'isere. Lovely continental breakfast, clean small room, comfy bed. We were not skiing so I can't comment on proximity to ski lifts or hotel ski room. Our stay was warm and peaceful and we would return again.

This hotel is in a prime position for the slopes and the town, there is a club right next door but I couldn't here it as I was on the other side of the hotel (room 15), my only issue with this hotel is that the walls are paper thin, you can hear ever door being locked, every foot step and every bathroom extractor fan. I am a very light sleeper so may just be sensitive to these things.
Apart from the noise I can not fault the rest, rooms very clean Inc. Shower. Breakfast lovely and staff very friendly. I would go back to this hotel as it is Val d' Isere, come on was it ever going to be quiet!?!

The Hotel is situated in an excellent position, I found it to be a bit expensive for what it was, the rooms albeit comfortable would have benefited from an upgrade. I very much liked the Bar and its staff were very friendly as were reception who were also very helpful. A little odd that there was no cooked breakfast available until after 8.30 am when any self respecting skier should be getting ready for the slopes! As I said a little expensive for what you get but then again it is Val D'Isere.
