“As a continental breakfast, the variety was actually quite good. Unfortunately, the hotel really needs a better chef—the potatoes were mushy and burnt, sausages took 30 minutes to come out, the eggs were overcooked, and the toaster setting was too long, leaving the bread burnt. The room itself was decent, but check-in was a nightmare. We waited nearly an hour because of poor communication between the hotel and EXPEDIA. Even though we had already paid, the hotel almost charged us again. Too many……

“I love the location of Oxford Suites - an easy walk to Riverside Park and on into downtown. It is also an easy walk to quite a few restaurants, although I didn't need to because the snacks (chili and salad while I was there) at the afternoon refreshment time were enough for me. My room was clean and well-equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. My only concern was the connecting door to the next room. A child in that room kept opening it on his side and trying to open……

“Very clean and well maintained. Staff was helpful and friendly. My room was comfortable and the a/c can be set low. Room has microwave, refrigerator and keurig style coffeemaker. The breakfast starts a little late in the weekends - 7 am.”

“The layout of the building is a little weird. Our room was located near the corner of an L, from our room we could see directly into the other rooms and vice versa unless we had our blinds closed. The breakfast was only ok. I wish there was a waffle maker, they ran out of food, plates and bowls 2 out of the 3 days we stayed there. They did have pancakes one day but they were the frozen kind you see in bags at Walmart. The hotel is new and things are kept clean. The staff was very friendly……
