"Hotel was very conveniently located in the town centre, we took the bus from the airport which stops a couple of minutes walk away. Unfortunately there was some renovation under way whilst we were there which was noisy at times. Breakfast was good with ample choice."

"Loved that this hotel used to be a bank. Room was furnished beautifully, the breakfast that was included was very good. The bar service staff were outstanding. So friendly and accommodating. The only downside was that the room was quite warm and difficult to cool down. But fans are provided which were helpful"

"We thought we were getting a sleepy B and B type hotel. Could not have been more wrong! Very, very elegant with nice grounds and amenities. Probably the most beautiful hotel on our trip. The only negative I have to add was the breakfast buffet was limited and not very good. Otherwise, it’s in a fantastic location in walking distance to the castle, tons of shops, restaurants and pubs. Kilkenny is a beautiful town with awesome folks. Highly recommend!"

"Very warm and inviting hotel. Check in was very smooth. Outside the hotel has a cute little island with a bridge to walk around. The room were a good size and clean they left cute little rubber ducks on the bed. The bathroom was OK decent water pressure. No place to put your toiletries and not enough hooks to hang towels Unfortunately there was a wedding going on and I finally went to the front desk at 1:30am to complain. The music was blasting no one could sleep. All they said was we are sorry and don’t the hotel inform you there was a wedding tonight. Answer: no they did not. We had to listen to the music blasting until 2am. It was painful. Afterwards and read a bunch of reviews that all complained about the same issue. Wedding going on and music blasting. If you want to get a decent night sleep ..this is not the hotel for you. They did nothing to try to help make my stay better. Being told they are sorry didn’t cut it. Maybe offer a complimentary breakfast or something would have helped. But they did nothing. I definitely will never be back and I certainly will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. Poor customer service actually zero customer service"
