"Cheerleading competition. Quiet hotel"
Stayed here in part for convenience of enclosed catwalk to convention center; in part for hotel itself: elegant, clean, friendly, attentive. Valet parked our car, given a warm welcome. Doors held open before we unloaded the car. I appreciate staff who pay attention. Guests have their hands full with luggage/coats/laptops etc. Greeted by the front desk. Check-in was quick, also appreciated after long trip. 6 elevators-no waiting. Had a king suite: LR, big screen TV, coffee-frig area,1/2 bath for a 3rd guest on the pullout couch. King BR had en suite bath of good size, big screen TV, love seat, desk, ample drawers and closet. Clean, comfortable, spacious. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Really enjoyed the food and wine. Our waiter was attentive, engaging. Appeared to be only waiter. Some staff sent home cause it was slow. Then, cheerleading families arrived. Dinner for 2 stretched close to 3 hours. Coffee, tea and my dessert was on the house. A sincere gesture but we were exhausted by that time. C'leaders are in school till 3, so families arrive late. Check your potential clientele. To our waiter who never stopped smiling, good on you. On Sat. housekeeping didn't show til after 4p.m. We were back in our room, done for the day, wanting to relax. No point in making the bed. Room service is good, friendly, timely. In-house menus offer variety. Quick, easy checkout. Never saw a lack of manners or professionalism even with ungracious guests. The art work displayed worth seeing.
