A great stay. We should have stayed another night. My wife enjoyed the Wellness Center. I liked the gym. Great location. Staff were very friendly

"We loved it."
Family of 6. 4 boys aged 1-11. Olders loved the proximity of the Ocean and the pools/slide. Youngers loved the pirate ship. All love the smoothies at the bar. Room was super clean. They upgraded us from an island view suite to a 1-bedroom ocean view. Golf was affordable for the whole family. Kids play free at Kaanapali. Food a the bar is average rate for the area, but expensive. $16 for a cheeseburger. No kids meal deals. We come here every year (when we can afford it). Duke's restaurant is within walking distance. Nice change of pace. Had dinner at Sangrita, Mexican restaurant nearby. Way overpriced, minimal kids meals, zero view, staff appeared put out. Definitely recommend. Our favorite spot on Earth!

We had originally booked a package deal with a Mountain View room. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a wonderful Beach View room! We found the hotel staff to be competent and eager to answer any questions we had. The location is perfect. Kanapali Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches is Hawaii & the Hyatt Regency is located close to numerous shopping facilities & many fine restaurants. I would definitely recommend to family & friends.

"Airy, quiet hotel"
For the most part this was a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. The grounds and common areas were not too cluttered and the rooms were large. However, it was abnormally hot and humid during our stay and our a/c gave out the day after we checked in. It maintained the room at a passably tepid temperature, but that's it. It's not really fair of me to complain about it here since we didn't notify the front desk about the problem, but it was an issue. Also the maid forgot to refresh our teas and coffees, which we didn't discover until 5:00 am when we were trying to leave for an activity. The pool concierge never returned a call I made, but I was called TWICE by the concierge trying to sell me Marriott vacation packages.

"Open air hotel."
The Resort provided many ammenities for us as guest. To name a few: there was a gym, laundry room, post office service, gift shop, late check out, and complimentary room for showering after late check out. One part of my stay that I really enjoyed was the breakfast buffet due to its many options and nice view. I didn't enjoy the small mosquitos that can get into the room through the lanai but they warn you about that since it is a typical island, plus there is a screen door and sliding glass for leading to the lanai. Overall it's a nice resort due to it's nice landscaping, views of the ocean and Haleakala Mt., the nice beach which was never crowded and it's quiet location being away from all the other resorts. I recommend staying here. And just as side note, this resort it's not closing down, contrary to other reports but will be undergoing renovations sometime after 2017.

"Beautiful grounds and wonderful refreshing pools"
Started off alittle shaky. We requested early check-in since we had an early flight and confirmed at the same time that we had an ocean view (which we had booked with extra cost). When we arrived we were told there had been no note requesting early check in - we waited three hours (humidity was terrible that day) and when we got the room it was with a view of a roof-no ocean (unless you stood on tip toes and looked way to the side)! Went down and talked with manager who said he would call us in an hour with a new room-- he never called so we went back to desk and was told he left for the day!!! Started to give us same room until we explained again what was going on--- FINALLY got a key to a wonderful ocean view room!! Besides that beginning and the big deal they made with towel cards (and never asked for them at ck out- we went back and dropped them off after cking out afraid they would charge us), we had an absolutely relaxing and fun time celebrating a birthday and our 40 yr anniversary! The whole area of beach and walking trails in front of all the resorts there with a shopping village and restaurants close by was amazing- would have loved to stay longer!!!
