"A centrally located hotel"
I have been staying here for the last 10 years, although haven't been back for the last 5! Knowing I had to have a short stay in NY, the Elysee was a natural choice. It's very centrally located and I know the rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is comprehensive and the 'happy hour' of drinks and nibbles in the evening makes a welcome end to busy days. Everything was as I remembered it and it was good to see staff that I remembered from years past. I loved my stay- the bed was even more comfortable than I remembered it! - was happy to be back there and will look forward to going back.

"Great hotel with easy access to entire city"
Stayed at this hotel wi my fiancé in November, I had some questions for the hotel before we arrived which they answered promptly and were very helpful. Our room was great, big for NY standards as I understand with a kingsize bed, flat screen tv, dressing area, walk in wardrobe with safe & a nice clean bathroom with shower. The room was quiet at night and on the tenth floor with a NY rooftop view. The hotel is situated a 5 minute walk from Grand central station and has easy access to the subway from there. Shopping on 5th Avenue is a ten minute walk in a straight line (love the American block system for finding your way around) and Empire State is literally just round the corner. There's no breakfast at the hotel but there are numerous deli's right on your doorstep & the hotel has 'sushi Roxx' a fun sushi bar/restaurant down stairs where the cocktails are great, the food is too & the waitresses burst into song every twenty minutes or so. Worth a visit if your staying for a while. Overall very happy with our stay & really happy with the hotels location & room.

"Beautiful hotel, nice stay"
We spent a great weekend at the Kimberly. Our room was a one-bedroom suite on an upper floor and was both beautiful and quiet (a little street noise, but not much - for New York - and little to no noise from within the hotel, either). Service was for the most part assiduous. Loved the fish tank in the lobby too! Our only problem involved room service - a room service dinner took more than an hour to arrive and almost made us late for the opera Saturday night. It took several phone calls to finally get the meals which arrived luke-warm and missing some elements. I think an event in the rooftop bar was the source of the problem (the kitchen was very busy). I hate to kvetch given it was a lovely stay, but it made for a stressful evening, unfortunately. Nonetheless I'd stay here again, but might make other arrangements if under time pressure for meals.

"Great for the US Open"
We were going to the US Open, and chose this hotel because of the great price and its proximity to Grand Central Station. The staff was really friendly, the room comfortable, and the location superior. It had the feel of a small, charming boutique hotel.

"Nice hotel, exllent location"
Very nice hotel. Clean and good service. Only negatives were the size of the bathroom and noise from construction next to hotel, which is out of the control of manager. Only thing I hated, was the service charge not included in the Expedia disclosed original price. I would recommend it
