"Homely feel & friendly helpful staff "
Lovely comfortable hotel. Slightly periodic feel to it,but that's no bad thing. It was homely and staff were friendly, helpful and spoke fluent English. The receptionist provided us with a map on our arrival and pointed out where the attractions were and how to get to them. The rooms were comfortable and always clean. But whilst there was a mini bar in the room, there were no tea & coffee supplies. However, you could have tea & coffee in the downstairs bar. Breakfast was included in the price - but it was fairly standard stuff & nothing out of the ordinary. Bacon, eggs, an assortment of cereals and bread. But I wouldn't let that put you off staying here. We were always adequately fed - so it's all down to personal preference. Breakfast was located on the rooftop terrace, which was always a nice thing to start the morning with. The location of the hotel isn't centrally situated - but there is a tube station just across the road and you can get to most places within around 15 minutes. Before we left - we spoke to the Receptionist about getting to the airport (Ciampino) and she helpfully arranged & booked a taxi for us, which cost a standard fee of €50, which was worth it, given we had a few bags to cart around. Much less hassle & stress than having to get the train. Overall - a lovely stay & would recommend it.

"Nice staff"
We spent 4 nights at Sunrise hotel. Overall, we had a great time there. Nice peopole, cozy room, comfortable bed, along with a delisous breakfast, made our stay very pleasent. The only problem with the room were lack of hair dryer and weak wifi connection.

"Second Stay Not as Good as the First"
This was my second stay at this hotel, it seems that they may have changed ownership because there were a good deal of noticeable differences from the first stay I really enjoyed. The first thing I noticed was the change in staff, the man at the front deck who greeted us was rude and short with us whenever we asked questions or tried to check in. Check in wasn't until 2pm and there was a lobby full of people waiting to check in. Second difference was the rooms, they seemed a lot smaller. I don't know why the rooms were scaled down. The third difference was the keys, I am so glad they switched to card keys instead of those large heavy keys they had before. Another change was the weak wifi. The one thing that did not change, which I am so glad about, was the breakfast. They have the best breakfast and it is worth the stay. The hotel is close to transportation in a neighborhood close to Termini Station, it's a great location. I just wish they had better desk staff.

"Fine hotel near the metro"
This is a decent hotel as long as you're OK with not being near the core tourist area of the city. It's just a 5 minute walk to the B1 line of the metro, so it only takes about 30 minutes to get to the center anyway. (Unless there happens to be a transit strike, like there was for one of the days I was staying there. In that case, it's a looong walk.) There are several restaurants in the area though (I recommend Pizzeria la Conca d'Oro), and it's certainly a quieter, less touristy area, so I was happy with it. The hotel was clean and modern. The included breakfast included a lot of pastries, and eggs/meat/cheese/yogurt/etc. - but the only fruit available was canned peaches, and on a couple days there was no fruit at all. I like my morning fruit! My only other complaint is that the staff, though polite, didn't seem to follow through on things they said they would do. The TV in my room wasn't receiving any channels, so I asked if they could take a look. It wasn't done by the next day. I asked again, and they said "Oh, I think it's been done now." It hadn't been. The third time I asked, they sent a person up and the problem was fixed. Same thing for the towel heater - it notified them that it wasn't working, but nothing was ever done. Overall I found the hotel to be good value.

"4 min walk to metro very clean and nice hotel"
so far this hotel is best 4 stars hotel in my trips. I would recommend this hotel whoever wants to stay in Rome. Mini supermarket nearby and an affordable authentic Italian restaurant just steps away.

"Nice, good value hotel with good transport links"
We very much enjoyed our stay here with no major problems at all. Considering the price, the location was actually pretty good with a regular bus service into the centre of Rome. The room was spotless clean with air conditioning and a decent bathroom. Only slight complaint was the lack of proper windows (top floor, so only a skylight), which would have made the room even nicer. Hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a decent selection, however some items tended to run out and not be replaced if you didn't get down there really early. Overall, a very pleasant stay for exploring the city.

"Get away from the Center of Rome"
As the other reviews have emphasized, this hotel is not in the touristy center of Rome, but a little more towards the residential areas outside the City's inner loop. Far from being a liability, I think that's one of this hotel's strengths from the perspective of an international traveler. We bought the one week transit pass which gives you unlimited transit access and saved a ton on taxis. There is an express bus which is close to the hotel which will take you downtown, but it's slow. The Metro is much faster, but a bit more of a hike (though you get to see and visit all the little shops and restaurants on the way). Being outside of the city center, you can find much more reasonable prices for food at the nearby restaurants. Several of the nearby sit down places were excellent, with fresh high quality handmade pastas. Plenty of Gellato nearby, And there's a particular pizza by the pound shop near the metro station where a couple can eat a decent meal for about $8 total if you're feeling tapped out. The hotel was in good condition and the rooms were comfortable. We were there in June, when it gets quite warm in Rome and I think the A/Cs in the room could use a little maintenance. Breakfast was good. The property is very charming, and has a great rooftop balcony to sit and socialize in the cool summer evening. I probably slept better here then I would have in the noisy downtown area, and it was cheaper. Would definitely stay here again.

"Beautiful setting"
The staff were very helpful and friendly they gave out maps of the city, metro and directions. They also assisted in printing out boarding pass for flight and booked transportation to the airport. The breakfast buffet had ample choices, cheese, meat, eggs, cereals, breads, juice, coffee, yogurt, fruit so it was very filling and worked for the whole family. I took a cab from the train station that was 5euro, you can take the metro there but it is at least a 10 walk to the hotel wouldn't want to pull my luggage that far. My room did not have good internet which seems to be a problem in Italy (I had the same problem in Florence). Wifi works great in the lobby and common areas but once you close your room door it is spotty. There was a large grocery store two blocks away restaurants were located by the metro entrance which is a bit of a walk so I would eat closer to the central city before going back to hotel. Make sure you realize there is a 6euro per person, per night city tax and extra person policy of 30 euro per night. So your room goes up by 48euro per night for three people!
