Everything was perfect - staff, parking, room, bar!
Only downside was not being handed information regarding WiFi and the breakfast was just appalling! I was so looking forward to breakfast and expecting a much higher standard of product quality than we received. Recommendations - Need more than one toaster. Mushrooms and tomatoes not cooked and scrambled eggs tasted like they had been microwaved. Please swap the sauted potatoes for hash browns. Please also offer omelettes and poached eggs. I didn't feel the love and i love breakfast!!

Checked in to be given a lovely room. Sadly the T.V. wasn't working properly but quickly was then given an upgrade to the four poster room. Absolutely delighted, the first room was lovely, the second room was extra special. Only sad I was on a business trip and my hubby wasn't with me. would definitely try to come for a social trip another time.

The hotel is in a great location, you're right there in the city centre, and it has the necessities that you'd look for for any type of stay.
Rooms are standard, nice, clean, and comfortable.
The only thing that let the stay down for us was the attitude of the reception staff who don't seem bothered.
During the one night stay there was a fire alarm at 3.30 am which was annoying but not at all the hotel's fault (a drunk guest thought it would be funny to set it off). The night porter who had to deal with all of the guests coming down was great, he was apologetic and it felt like he meant it which was impressive for the number of times he must have had to explain what had happened and say sorry for drunk guests.
The problem was at checkout when the three girls on reception finally stopped talking to ask us the most basic of questions, it felt like they were forced to ask everyone. There was no apology for the fire alarm or even mention of it, and not so much as a smile. When we picked up luggage we had stored behind reception about an hour later, the same three didn't say a word as we handed in the tags, collected the luggage and left.
Overall a solid hotel for any stay, but maybe don't expect a friendly reception or departure.

CONS: The shower room is tiny with restricted headroom; The accommodation is on the 2nd floor up narrow stairs; It is not well served by public transport; You MUST be home by Midnight; You need to like dogs, as Mischa is very friendly.
PROS: If you are happy with all of the above then it is a great place to stay. It is clean and comfortable. Suzanne is very affable and cooks a delicious full house breakfast. Recommended.
