The hotel is fine and we have no complaints but the location in filthy, homeless infested Portland leaves much to be desired. Portland will probably be my least visited city in the future.
My family of 11 was accommodated in style. Six adults and 5 children made the rather long trek from Amtrak with our luggage. Really not a bad walk after 16 hours on the train. We were able to check in a little early and got rooms on the same floor. Each family had its own room. We played in the pool, ...
I loved the location of this hotel it was walking distance to everything. The room itself was clean and the bed was amazing.. I could've stayed in bed all day it was super comfy. The only down fall was we had no mini fridge nor microwave but other than that we had a great stay.
always a pleasure to stay in a Kimpton hotel - great locations, trendy , clean and unique furnishings make the experience truly worth the money. The staff is always friendly with helpful tips from local restaurants , and things to do in the area.
Great customer service. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Received a free room upgrade. Room was clean, nostalgic decor, and a very comfy bed. Great location, easy to find, easy to park or pull right up front for valet, and walking distance to practically everything.
Beautiful room and a super comfy bed. We had the Symphony Suite. It has pocket doors that you can close to separate the sleeping area from the living area. Allowed me to stay up a little later and let my 5 year old crash out on the king-size bed. Great location, walking distance to restaurants and ...
We had a great stay! We particularly liked being able to use the bikes and ride along the river. The hotel staff was friendly and called us for an early check in when the room was ready.
The hotel is in a great location, and overall was good, but the first room I had was like a shoebox with air conditioning that wouldn't shut off and I had to stay that night in that room because they were full. The second room was much nicer and the thermostat worked, but at 7:30am on Saturday morning, ...
The overall experience was pleasant and comfortable. The décor and vibe was fun and unique, the staff were polite and helpful, and the rooms were well furnished and clean. They let you rent out bicycles around town, which was a nice touch. They also have a great mini-bar policy, letting you enjoy ...
Portland, Oregon, prides itself in being like no other city. With tons of award-winning restaurants and picturesque views, it’s a perfect town to visit on a luxury vacation.
When you’re on vacation, it’s important to smell the roses. And there’s no better rose patch than the International Rose Test Garden.
In 1917, the garden opened to preserve European rose species from the bombings of WWI. The founders were worried that some of the hybrid varieties would go extinct from the warfare. The garden has, well, bloomed in the decades since, and is now home to 7,000 rose bushes you can walk through. If you want to see beauty of a different variety, check out the schedule of the Hollywood Theatre. Featuring indie and avant-garde films, it’s the place to see something unique and new.
