"Great location "
Rome is such an amazing city, from culture to culinary delights. Any less than 3 nights will be a mad rush to see all the main points. Food is amazing wherever you go. Great place is L'Archelogia on via appia, a short taxi ride out of the town centre but well worth the fine dining.

"Would recommend. Great staff, fantastic location"
The turner hotel is located north from the main train station in Rome. It is easy to get to by bus from the train station ($1.50 euro - buy your ticket from a tabacconist shop or ticket machine at the large bus stop). The trip itself should only take you about 10mins. The reception area is very fancy and new, and the hotel staff are very attentive. The room we stayed in was clean and well kept, although old. But this is typical when travelling anywhere in Europe. As an Aussie traveller, as a tip to avoid disappointment, always deduct a star from any European hotel, and that will give you a better comparison to our Australian hotels. It's only natural as Australia has more space and the buildings are typically newer than our European counterparts. The buffet breakfast had hot food, cold meats, cereal and breads/sweet breads. It was quite comprehensive. Any guest can also make their way to the top floor (via lift to level 6) where you can enjoy a wine in the hotels private courtyard/garden. This was a great hotel, especially for the price we paid! There are also a multitude of great restaurants nearby. Take the time to have a look, as they are the real deal, with great local food and not the tourist trap restaurants in the city centre (i'm looking at you Trevi Fountain)

"Lovely perfectly located hotel"
I arrived late in the evening after the long flight and was really pleased with a quick and welcoming check-in with minimum formalities. Hotel staff helped me out with my suitcases, and later on during my stay have been addressing every question with the ultimate attention; they also took care about my late check-out and taxi to the airport. Room was delightfully spacious, bathroom with a bath tub - which is great after the whole day of long walks. Everything is clean with a daily housekeeping. Breakfasts were simple but more than enough to get you to the lunch. I visited in the end on November and the hotel seemed very quiet, I barely met a handful of other guests.

"Hotel Fiume amazing"
Arrived Saturday morning. Check in was speedy and staff very helpfull. Everything about the hotel and staff was excellent and its well situated for sight seeing without being too far out. The complaint I have is the temperature of the room. It was so hot you couldn't breath. No matter what you did to the aircon it made no didference had to sleep with the windo open. If they got that right the hotel would be perfect.

"Cosy hotel"
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights as a b/day treat Our room was ready on arrival and was comfortable but like most city hotels not over big.Our only concern was the Internet didn't work as it should and was continually going off, We changed rooms hoping this would solve it but it remained the same . The staff were very helpful and friendly, good breakfast and lovely roof terrace bar in the evening.

"Great roof terrace. Near the great Borghese grdns"
We wanted a twin bedroom and balcony. We requested this two weeks in advance via email and although they said this wasnt possible upon arrival they had reserved us the only twin with balcony (others are doubles). The balcony was more of a roof terrace on the 7th floor and absolutely great! It has views across the historic city walls and into the centre, and at night the mountains on the horizon are beautifully lit with houses.and t Close to the via veneto which is great, much closer to the centre than you might think. Although it isnt in the centre exactly, Rome is so compact that there's not much difference. We often walked all the way from Trestevere in the far south west, whereas this hotel is the far north east. A big walk but it is possible, all the way across the tiber and through piazza navona and the spanish steps. Another great benefit is its proximity to the Borghese gardens with its beautiful pines, museums and galleries, and much entertainment for kids including boats and a small train. On the far side of the gardens is also a view right across Rome's skyline of St.Peters and the tiber. The hotel staff are friendly and have 24 hour reception service, and are very helpful and directions- the men even know all of the bus and metro routes. Room service is also good and they clean the rooms everyday on request.

"Hotel with a view"
We stayed at hotel Victoria Roma I August 2015. This hotel was clean and beautiful...really felt like you were in Rome .roof top terrace was beautiful and food excellent. Especially pasta! Service really friendly and staff knowledgeable .It is about 10 min wAlk from metro which was the only downfall we found -on a hot day 45 degrees-...we did found an underground tunnel Spagna tunnel which took us straight to metro. Overall excellent stay!

This was our second stay at the Marriott Grand Flora and we were not disappointed. The staff made us feel welcome and that the hotel was our 'home'! The Dining Room staff always provided excellent service and met any special request. The doorman was always there to assist with securing our luggage, as well as getting us transportation as required. The hotel room exceeded our expectations, along with an excellent housekeeping staff!

Pocket Guide: Rome Via Veneto 4 stars Hotels

Made famous by 'La Dolce Vita' film in 1960, the Via Veneto is going through a glamorous renaissance. Bars, restaurants, chic hotels and boutiques all vie for attention in the street which coined the expression 'paparazzo' – the surname of the photojournalist in the film. Nearby, the Spanish Steps are the place for lovers' trysts, shopping, and honing the Italian art of 'dolce far niente' – idling and people-watching.
