"Girlfriends 50th Birthday Treat"
Our second time at this fantastic hotel. We arrived and had been given an upgrade and also a welcome bottle of bubbly and a birthday message!!. The staff are amazing and can not do enough for you. Fantastic location but the reason we love this hotel so much is the roof top terrace "skybar" voted one of the best in the world and it certainly doesn't disappoint.!! Wonderful views, infinity pool, so chilled out and relaxing. Thankyou Grand Central we hope to return a third time in the future.

"Great hotel and close to Camp Nou"
The hotel is close to Camp Nou, shopping outlets and to the metro station. It is in a safe and quiet location. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The room we had was perfect for our needs- although a larger room would have been nicer. The shower was amazing - powerful and hot! The TV only had a few English channels but this ensured we were out rather than watching TV so not really a complaint. Although an English speaking children's channel would have gone down well with my son. The room had everything we needed (hair dryer/safe/minibar fridge/toiletries) except for an iron which you had to request. Blackout curtains were also useful. Breakfast was good, lots of options especially if you enjoy meat. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were also great and family friendly!

"Awesome Hotel!!! "
Very friendly stuff, we got upgraded without even asking for an upgrade! Was based on availability and longer stay at the the hotel (three nights). They even packed a breakfast for us since we had to leave before breakfast starts. Very recommended, the location is not 100% ideal, still need to walk few blocks to the closest metro station which was a bit exhausting in 100 degrees humid weather.

"Great Hotel, lives up to its 5 star standard"
We found This hotel after having a bad experience with a hotel close to the beach. From the moment we walked into this hotel you can tell this is a well kept hotel. The staff is extra helpful . Lady at guest services was so helpful and understanding with a very pleasant personality, unfortunately I don't recall her name. Front desk was attentive and professional. We looked through a few hotels, this hotel is one of few that lives up to its 5 star standard. Nice outdoor and Pool areas, clean rooms, professional staff. The fact that it is away from center of the city is not an issue, since this hotel is a 5 minute walk from metro (green line) , which takes you pretty much to anywhere you want to go without having to change lines. They also have a shuttle to the center of city and back that runs almost every hour after 10 AM. And there are Taxis lined up pretty much all the time to take you anywhere. Breakfast is expensive but its worth it. Overall food is great here, Big variety with quality ingredients. Showers are small but if you are not a very large person it should not matter. Carpet in one of our rooms will need replacement, as it is getting wear out. Over All The whole family would recommend this hotel. As I said again, it actually saved our vacation in Barcelona..We enjoyed our stay at this hotel..

Modern and beautiful hotel, the staff is very nice and professional. I loved my stay with my girlfriend, I definitely recommend it, plus it is very well located. Although I would lower the price of the room wifi.

"nice hotel "
nice location with great views of the city. be prepared to get taxis, although the tourist bus also stops next to hotel. taxis are pretty reasonable though. that said, we prefer walking and its only 20-30 minutes to beach/rambla. but its a pretty steep hill especially with a pram. excellent friendly helpful staff. very nice hotel and room. nice terrace to sit out on at night. only minor niggles - the breakfast buffet was pretty average and expensive. coffee was purtrid as well. also beware of walking into the metal bench at the bottom of the bed during the night - i got a fairly nasty injury!

"Passing Thru"
We had 3 rooms for the night after a cruise. Everyone was very happy with their room. The hotel is very modern and clean. The bathroom and shower are really nice and large. The staff was very nice and spoke English. We had dinner in the hotel and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. They gave us 30% off at the restaurant for staying at the hotel. This hotel is 10 minutes from the airport which is why we chose it. It is close to the subway if you want to go into town but there is really nothing close to walk to. The only thing I would change was the free shuttle to the airport. It starts around 7:30. We had an early flight and left the hotel at 6:00 so we called a cab.

"Lacks attention to detail & service"
It's a fab location & iconic hotel but we found the service not up to expectations & there was a lack of attention to detail. It's expensive which you don't mind if the service and quality matches. Our experience was a little disappointing but not on a huge scale it was still a very enjoyable stay. For example service at the pool & the pool resturant was slow and the food disappointing. I particularly dislike being given bread seemly as part of the service and then finding it on the bill. My daughter on one occasion dropped her bread and they picked it up but didnt bring another or ask if she wanted one. We had to ask for condiments and drinks on several occasions. The food at the pool restaurant was poor and expensive. There are plenty of staff but lacks some organisation. I know wifi is a good way to get money but did seem to be expensive and many hotels offer it free or in communal areas at least. We did feel they were trying to get money from us at every opportunity. I don't mind paying if the quality is there but we didn't feel it was or that it compared to other Ritz Carltons we have stayed in or Four Seasons. Our room however as excellent. We are being picky but it is supposed to be a top quality hotel and we have always had exceptional service at other Ritz Carltons.
