We asked the hotel for advice when we were organising our transfer from the airport & they were extremely helpful, giving us options & costs. Magdalena particularly was super. We had a really nice room, & were lucky enough to have a wonderful view of the Christmas Market as we faced onto Waltherplatz, the main square. The room was well laid out with ample storage, mini bar & safe. Breakfast was very good, with choice of freshly prepared eggs, poridge etc as well as cold meats, cheese, fruit, cereals & pastries.
There is also a very pleasant bar on the ground floor if you want to relax there.
The hotel was spotless & well-kept, the beds comfortable & linen very good quality. Even an umbrella is provided for use during your stay should the need arise. The staff made our stay extra special, & we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

The hotel is in a great location and is very lovely. All the staff were professional and very accommodating. I asked an employee after delivering something to another room where I could get some ice for drinks in the room and he immediately offered to bring a bucket of ice and some wine glasses for me and my friends. The breakfast buffet was exceptional even against the high European standards. The garden in the back was lovely with huge trees, beautiful flowering vines, and a swing just past the pool. Bring some nice clothes, the clientele are very stylish to fit the elegance of this fine hotel.

"A splendid and charming hotel in historic Bolzano."
The Stadt Hotel Città in Bolzano is a splendid and charming hotel situated in the heart of downtown historic Bolzano, with a gourmet restaurant and traditional café. It´s a pleasure and a privilege to stay in this hotel reminiscent of old Europe, with its elegant decor.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was about a fifteen minute walk to the main shopping area and Christmas market. Lots of shopping and very festive market that I would highly recommend. We were able to park for free by parking on the road out front. We would definitely stay here again.

Location is great - right at the edge of the old town. Walk to almost all shops and museums.
Beds are double twin, with stiff mattresses, not very comfortable
decor is old - maybe on purpose. they could use more efficient furniture and layout.
there are almost no amenities - no creams, only body gel/shampoo combos.
Breakfast service is not bad but always the same and a bit slow.
Dinner at the restaurant is a slow tortured affair. Not well managed. With so many restaurants in town close by there is no point to eat there.

We had a great experience at Hotel Eberle. We checked in quite late one night after the restaurant closed, but they let us order off the pizza menu and our salmon pizza was incredible. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was great, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Plus, there's an amazing view of the town of Bolzano and the mountains from the hotel restaurant! Overall wonderful experience.

The medieval Old City stands the convergence of the Isarco and Talvera rivers with the Piazza Walther at its center. Cable cars easily transport visitors to the surrounding mountains. A year-round, open-air market lines the Piazza delle Erbe and the main shopping street of Via dei Portici is open to pedestrians only. At the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology tourists can meet Ötzi, a Neolithic iceman.
