The hotel is great and I enjoyed my stay. The reception has only check in facilities. To use a toilet you have to go to the third floor where the bar is located. Had twin beds in my room and they were very small single beds that did not fit the quality of the hotel. Very good location.
Seemed to be recently renovated with new amenities. Gym was excellent. Staff was very helpful. Only complaint was no bell staff to help with luggage as in traditional hotel
Beautiful gardens but Hotel was a little too quiet. No room for me for dinner but the breakfast was fantastic. Cottage room comfortable but not attached to hotel. So yes, whilst it's well manicured, beware the rough!

Edinburgh Castle and other attractions are in close proximity and it is possible to walk through Princes Gardens to the National Gallery ...
Idyllic setting and hotel an absolute dream. They will happily prepare dinner for you but there is no drinks license so a bring your own requirement - plus it's a set dinner, but nevertheless delicious.. No lift so not suitable for disabled guests as bedrooms are on 2nd floor. One of those stays ...
Short visit to Edinburg. My room was upgraded because of Expedia + to a magnificent modern suite. Hotel staff was the most accommodating and sincerely helpful group. Everything was attended to. Fantastic place!
The facility is terrific and the experience we had with each member of the staff was second to none. Everyone from the restaurant team to housekeeping to the concierge were great. They went above and beyond to be courteous and helpful.
We stayed for 3 nights (weekend) in Nov 2016 and found it a great place to stay. The staff were great and helpful. The location was very convenient for tourists to access nearby attractions. The apartment we had was very spacious and had a lot of features, including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. ...
