The Burlington has an old world charm with incredibly friendly staff, clean and well presented facilities, and a tasty breakfast. We loved our family room which felt very newly renovated and spacious (we opted for the slightly more expensive choice).
Only negative was there was nowhere to store 3 bikes (or park a car with a bike rack on the back) but there was on street parking.

The room was clean and comfortable with some toiletries provided. There was no temperature control bit it was warm enough. The reception is 24hr but you have to ring the doorbell to get in late. Staff very helpful and parking offered for £3 a day opposite the hotel. I would stay there again, brilliant location

We stayed here for one night, wanting to do some cycling around the Kent Coast.
It is a lovely, quiet comfortable hotel in a great location.
We cycled to Dover Castle, using an off road route. It was a bit hilly in parts but really pleasant.
We also cycled in the other direction towards Dymchurch and that was completely flat and a beautiful coastal route.

Hosts very friendly, welcoming, efficient, helpful and accommodating. Although small, our room had everything you need and would get in a five star hotel. Location great for exploring the fabulous Folkstone Warren, the Town and other local sights and has on-site parking. Breakfast was just right with choice and thoughtful touches. Sarah was very helpful with information and and advice and felt like a friend by the time we left.

Premier Inn it is not which is why I liked The Lighthouse. Some areas such as stair carpets could do with refurbing but overall it was excellent-full of character, friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, good food, and excellent value for money.

Folkestone is a picturesque coastal town that makes the most of its seaside setting. With miles of promenades and the unique Lower Leas Coastal Park linking the harbour with the town centre, Folkestone comes alive in the summertime. Visitors can take a break from the beachside entertainment and venture to Port Lympne's nearby wildlife park which is home to elephants, primates, and big cats.
