"Very Pleasant Hotel"
We had a very pleasant stay in the Grand Hotel Palace. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The hotel bar/restaurant was very pretty and the food was tasty. We really liked the tree lined street we were on and the neighborhood was quiet yet convenient to all major attractions.

"Hotel with rooftop pool near Termini station"
Overall, it has to be said that the design of this hotel is a bit weird, but for us the rooftop pool and convenient location across from Termini station made up for it. Pro's: Lovely rooftop pool and lounge area. Lovely rooftop breakfast area with excellent buffet breakfast (squeeze your own fresh juice, good coffee, many pastries, cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, and american and european breakfast selections). Comfortable beds, lots of great toiletries. Jasper Morrison deck chairs on balcony! Cons: Hotel design overall is awkward – it just doesn't feel as comfortable as they could. Our very spacious room had two big pillars in the middle. Many rooms have showers in the middle of the room. Our junior suite did not; instead a fully mirrored wall with ballet bar (!?!). Junior suites also have very large balconies (500sf?) that by design are exposed to the rest of the hotel; they do not naturally feel like a pleasant place to hang out.

"Good hotel, walking distance to shopping"
Staff not very friendly, mold in bathroom. Beds not comfortable, beautiful restaurant downstairs, rooftop restaurant has great view but food is worse than hospital food. When they say check in is at 3, they mean it. They will make you sit at lobby till check in time. Double check your statement at check out, few guests had charges that they did not make.

"Very Good Central Location"
This hotel is a perfect base for a wonderful long weekend in Rome. With many attractions - Fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo within easy walking distance and good restaurants close by, Colosseum and Vatican not too much further away. The hotel is good, the streets are a bit noisy with traffic at night, but this is Rome after all, it's not a quiet place. Only downside - our room had a door to the neighbouring room, locked obviously but we could hear the neighbours very clearly when talking late at night. Can not fault the hotel in any other way and the staff were excellent, the small rooftop terrace has fantastic views over the city, restaurant and bar at the rooftop is expensive but nice.

"Beautiful hotel, in the perfect location"
Great hotel. Centrally located and close to the Parthenon, so even when you get lost (which is easy to do in Rome) you can always find your way back quite easily. Great rooftop bar with spectacular views. Staff are wonderful, really wonderful. Bathroom floors and outside of tub could have used a better scrubbing.. And the floor in the room could have used a mop. The only things disappointing about the hotel .... The room wasn't dirty, but as this is a five star, just expected a little more care in the housekeeping. Fantastic location, especially for my first visit to Rome. All the major attractions were within a 5 to 20 minute walk.

"Average for a 5 star"
We spent 3 nights in the hotel. The design is unique and the hotel location is fantastic close to the termini station. Be careful of getting a room on the Main Street as it may get very noisy so get a room on the back side of the facility. staft were very nice. Hotel is considered expensive in terms of vale for meney. I have stayed in other 5 star hotels and they were far better.
