"Very Pleasant Hotel"
We had a very pleasant stay in the Grand Hotel Palace. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The hotel bar/restaurant was very pretty and the food was tasty. We really liked the tree lined street we were on and the neighborhood was quiet yet convenient to all major attractions.

"Beautiful hotel in Central Rome"
The staff were attentive & smart, the hotel facilities were good, the rooms were clean & newly done. The lighting system took a bit of practice, all very modern. There were renovations being carried out when we were there, but these did not cause problems, & we were aware of them before we arrived. Overall we had a very quiet and relaxing experience

"Very Good Central Location"
This hotel is a perfect base for a wonderful long weekend in Rome. With many attractions - Fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo within easy walking distance and good restaurants close by, Colosseum and Vatican not too much further away. The hotel is good, the streets are a bit noisy with traffic at night, but this is Rome after all, it's not a quiet place. Only downside - our room had a door to the neighbouring room, locked obviously but we could hear the neighbours very clearly when talking late at night. Can not fault the hotel in any other way and the staff were excellent, the small rooftop terrace has fantastic views over the city, restaurant and bar at the rooftop is expensive but nice.

"Wonderful Hotel in the Center of Rome"
We stayed 12 days at this hotel and it was great. Hotel staff was happy and accommodating , rooms were new and clean, sheets changed every day and a super breakfast. It's located in a hoop neighborhood in Rome that is close to everything. Special thanks to the ladies on the concierge desk. Terrific. Only flaw was a unstable wi-fi connections that bedeviled us a bit.

Pocket Guide: Rome Via Veneto 5 stars Hotels

Made famous by 'La Dolce Vita' film in 1960, the Via Veneto is going through a glamorous renaissance. Bars, restaurants, chic hotels and boutiques all vie for attention in the street which coined the expression 'paparazzo' – the surname of the photojournalist in the film. Nearby, the Spanish Steps are the place for lovers' trysts, shopping, and honing the Italian art of 'dolce far niente' – idling and people-watching.
