Good central location

Posted Oct 25, 2016 on Ebookers
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and served up to a reasonable time.
Cons: We expected 'double bed' to mean ONE bed, not TWO pushed together. This meant that they came apart during the night.
Location: Excellent location near the town centre. Spaces in a car park just across the road for 15 Euros per night were very useful.
The room was very small, but O.K. There was only 1 chair, so that one had to sit on the bed. There was nowhere in the hotel, where one could sit and do any work. Drive from Calais about 3 1/2 hours.

More of an IBIS than a Mercure

Posted Oct 3, 2016 on Hotels
The Hotel is more like an IBIS than a Mercure, the hotel is clean but is very basic. Not even a free bottle of water in the room. I know the hotel is a city center location but they could do something more to hide the noise (better windows etc...) The bar is basic and only opens from 8pm

Good location; good value.

Pros: Short (2-block) walk to the Aachen cathedral and Charlemagne Museum. Room has temperature and fan controls.
Cons: Hotel signage outside is tiny -- almost invisible from the street. No space in front to park. No info on nearby parking garage on website.
Location: See the Charlemagne museum and the Aachen cathedral (English tour at 2 PM).

Nice hotel in the city centre

Posted Apr 10, 2016
Pros: Friendly and efficient staff and the central location.
Cons: My room was quite small but it was well-appointed, modern and clean. The minibar fridge did not work (in that it did not make things cold)
Location: The hotel has an excellent location in the city centre, within easy walking distance of all the major sights, as well as being right among the shops.
I stayed for two days at this hotel and was very pleased with my experience. The hotel staff were friendly, and both check in and check out were extremely efficient with no waiting around. My room was quite small but well-appointed with all the necessary amenities. The room had a modern feel to it and I really appreciated the balcony, which whilst overlooking the street was not particularly scenic, it was nice to have the additional space and the opportunity to step outside. The bathroom was clean and modern with only a shower, which functioned well and is fine for most travellers. Unfortunately I did not have time on either day for breakfast at the hotel so am unable to comment on this aspect.

lied about exercise room

Posted Jan 16, 2016
The main reason I picked the hotel was the advertised exercise room. Yes, they offer the fitness facility but you heave to leave the hotel and walk about 300 Meters to another Hotel (Novotel).
