Not a 4 star experience. I can't exactly put my finger on it. The reception was welcoming, nice view of the sea, pool, fitness and exceptionalbeds. But small things weren't good enough: a piece of wood stucking out beside the aged buttons by the bed, worn frame on the bathroom mirror and old water chalk residue in the corners of the bathroom. Good, not 4 stars
Rooms are spacious and well equipped, however walls seem to had a better days as there was a layer of dust on the whole wall by the bed. Outdoor furniture was very dirty from birds fallings. Wooden floor deserves some deeper attention as it was very scratched up. Bathroom was relatively clean but there was a hole in the shower separator which led to a flood in the bathroom so we had to use extra towel to dry it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Receptionists always available at the reception so slew had everything resolved in a seconds.Swimming pool area and gym was clean and well stocked. Food was great and plenty of choices. I would come back for the see view that was absolutely stunning. Price wise it was a bit overpriced as I didn’t find enough points to give 4 stars.

This is certainly somewhere to stay at for the views! The rooms on the higher levels are spacious and provide gorgeous views of the sea. If you stay here, I’d plan on having a lot of activities planned as the hotel itself needs some work. The rooms are pretty bare-bones and the toiletry supply is quite low. Great breakfast and would recommend staying here in the summer.

Christmas stay
I love tghe panoramic view over the Aarhus Bay and with the balcony door slightly open you can hear the waves hit the shore. The room size is good, the bed is good but I miss a small cooler. Breakfast not as good as it once was. Maybee because of corona.

Lovely stay
We arrived in the evening and there was no one at the front desk to check us in. We had to look around for a few minutes before finding someone. Although we were dropped off by friends, the only thing the desk clerk kept focusing on was that we "register our parking," despite the fact that we did not need parking. The breakfast (included) was a wonderful buffet. The hotel room was fine. Felt that some of the furnishings (lobby, dining area) could have been given more attention to make them consistent with the architecturally significant setting.

Lack of staff meant no restaurant - no indication that this was the case just a sign at reception. However seemed to find the staff for big racing event at the weekend. Big motor racing event meant limited access to hotel - again zero communication from staff. Hotel only seems interested in weekend event not the paying guests the week before.

The balcony and the sea views were amazing. The bathroom was not super clean and the shower curtain had disgusting stains on it. The biggest turn off was the breakfast area which was a disaster zone with many tables not having been cleaned even though there were many workers standing around. Looks like they left the breakfast area buffet half an hour before close out.

Nice but not for a Business Traveler
Cute hotel in a good location BUT not set up for a business traveler. No desk in the room and they will not allow you to use the tables in the lobby area. We were parked in by other cars and deliver trucks several times when we needed to leave for meetings. No one is on site in the evenings. They change their WiFi codes in the evening and no one can supply it until the morning- difficult when you are conducting international business.

We have staff on in the reception at all times, also in the night. Our wifi doesn´t require any code to login and use, but we apologise if you had trouble with the connecting. It was a wonderful warm day. There was no aircondition in my room which was to the sunny side and parking lot. There was no mini bar - and unfortunately the Restaurant was closed for guest that particular day. I wanted to get a few drinks in the Bar, but there was no service, which I asked for. Really nice location, though.

Great location overlooking the Sea. Two problems---there was a wedding going on over the weekend, so parking was a major problem. Second, I did not find out until I checked in that the restaurant is not open for dining unless you purchase dinner as part of the package when you make the reservation, and restaurants are a 10 minute drive away. Delivery from off site is an option, but that seems a bit silly when staying at such a nice property.

Great old style hotel. only recommendation is that the staff in the reception should know whether Gluten free breakfast is available and the service in the bar was a little slow (10 minutes despite almost not more than 2 in the bar)

One of my favorite hotels in Denmark (I have stayed there many times over the last 40 years) I was a little disappointed that they have neglected some upkeep (probably due to the loss of revenue due to COVID). Woodwork, carpets, etc need refreshing. Plastic cups instead of glasses in the guest rooms suggest some financial stress. The breakfast buffet remains excellent and the staff is top notch.

Great location but......
The location was great - however, the room could use a bit of a renovation including air-conditioning. We arrived 45 minutes early and could not check-in, they said the room was not ready. We sat on the terrace for 45 minutes and at 4 pm when check-in opened we went - now a queue had formed and the process was slow. This did not leave a good impression. When we got to the room it was hot and it did not smell like the cleaner had just been there...It made me wonder about the excuse of the room not being ready. The bed and pillow were good. Breakfast had plenty of choices but the quality was a mixed experience.

We have enjoyed staying here for years, but it is not what it used to be. It is worn down and in need of an update and more importantly, the rooms need a thorough deep cleaning. When we arrived late Sunday night we overheard other guests complaining about being set up in rooms that hadn’t been cleaned. The one receptionist that was on duty that night had to check every room himself before handing over the key. Our room was halfway done; the bed was made, but bathroom was dirty, floors were dirty and no towels. The excuse was that the system had been down for 12 days, but how does that effect the cleaning? Next time we are in the area we will go somewhere else.

Vi ankom Onsdag aften, og fik at vide at parkering nu kostede 150,00kr. Det er for ringe når man betaler for en værelses pris i den dyre ende. Der skulle parkeringsbetalingen være incl. i værelsesprisen. Så må de lave sådan at man oplyser nrplade ved bestilling. Men ellers et godt ophold, lækker morgenmad, og adgang til pool, sauna.

Værelserne er gamle og slidte. På vores værelse sad toilettet brættet kun fast i det ene hængsel og dobbeltsengen bestod af 2 sammensatte enkeltsenge. Morgenmaden var fra 07.00-10.00. Men hvis man kommer er 09.30 er der intet tilbage. Vi var ikke de eneste der stod i den situation så efter noget tid fandt de lidt mere der dig hurtigt forsvandt.
