Well situated

Posted Feb 15, 2017
Reasonable hotel well located which has cut its rates considerably due to market conditions. Rooms are ok and some are in need of redecoration the higher levels are best and ask for one away from the elevator. The staff are friendly and there is a restaurant and bar on the ground floor. Parking is opposite in the nearby multi-storey car park. Have stayed many times and would stay again.

Wifi inadequate, good location

Posted Feb 10, 2017
Pros: Staff, location, food
Cons: Wifi and pillows
Location: Central
Staff were friendly, food was good and the room clean. However the wifi was inadequate so I had to go to the lobby to send emails...

Close to all amenities

The hotel was fine for an offshore workforce crew change, its very dated and not much attention to detail but fine for a days stay for business. Good location.

Enjoyable stay

Posted Dec 19, 2016
Pros: Atmosphere is very nice. Room was very comfortable.Reception is lovely. Staff were nice and helpful.
Cons: Price of breakfasts. Got no print out of bar bill. It just came off card. Price of breakfast not found anywhere.
Location: Although it was central we did not leave the hotel. We attended a function in the hotel.
No complaints apart from the breakfast.. £15 per person is far too expensive for the quality of food. We went to get breakfast on Sunday 18th Dec.2016. Approx 11.00am. There was no bacon , no eggs , no potato Rosti. I basically paid £15 for two slices of toast and some cold beans. My husband had some fruit and by the time he went for his full breakfast some of the dishes had been topped up. Basically we paid £30 for one breakfast. Everything else was absolutely fine.

This is nice city hotel. I had comfortable, spacious room and bathroom. It was reasonably quiet and very well priced.

No on-site parking, dirty tub.

Posted Nov 28, 2016
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything....cleanliness, parking, noise. steep deposit for incidentals. People smoke on front steps instead of designated area.
Don't go by the pics on their website. The tub had mold around it which was covered over with caulk. The room was small and the furniture was old. There was no way to regulate the room temperature, either unless you wanted to open the small window. Creaky, old wooden floors beneath the carpet so, you hear everyone around you. The hallways were the nicest part of the hotel. They also wanted 50 GBP deposit per night for incidentals. That's about $65 US. There was no mini-bar so, that would only secure them for phone calls and meals, I guess.
