Lovely staff, and the hotel needs some love!

Posted May 7, 2017
Pros: The staff
Cons: The rooms need to be updated badly
Please upgrade the rooms. The staff are so lovely and they would be great in a hotel which has heating which works well, and bathrooms which are in the 21st century.

Basic, but comfortable.

Posted Dec 1, 2016 on Hotels
Two-night stay for business purpose. Pleasant and efficient check in. Ample free parking. Not a lot of noise audible outside the bedroom on 5th floor. Room was spacious. Heater worked well. Décor is tired and dated, carpet needs a good clean. Small en-suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Ample towels. Mattress very soft, may cause bother if you prefer a firmer mattress. Breakfast service and food choices were good also. Evening meal was OK, nothing special. The restaurant and bar areas are situated off the lobby and lack any atmosphere. The tables are also very close together, so choose wisely if you are going to be bothered by others squeezing past. Having a stranger's behind skim the top of your table while you're eating is not a pleasant experience. Apart from the soul-less dining environment the overall stay was pleasant and I found all staff to be very helpful.

Staff were very friendly

Posted Oct 12, 2016
Pros: It was easy and no stress
Cons: The view
Room was clean and spacious, had a terrible view of the inside of a car park but that was the only downside. The staff were friendly and breakfast was tasty. We enjoyed our 1 night stay.

Good hotel currently undergoing renovation

Pleasant staff, hotel undergoing renovations so allowances need to be made. Bed terrible, mattress soft. Will apparently be upgrading these soon!

Not the best experience

Posted Sep 26, 2016
Cons: Be disabled aware and check rooms are cleaned!
First room offered had been used, not cleaned. Second room not an accessible room but no others free. All doors too small for wheelchair use, no help to hold doors open (5 double +1 single) offered. No tv remote. Could not get wheelchair into bathroom. Could not turn wheelchair in room so had to pull chair from front. At 6am tv switched itself on , loudly. Ramp to access breakfast area was blocked at top by fruit machine, had to lift chair with husband to negotiate. Ignored by staff for breakfast table as we had not entered area by desk. The beds were comfortable but were twin not double. No apology or reduction offered at checkout, really not happy would not use again.
