Nice hotel

Posted Aug 29, 2015
The hotel itself was very nice, clean with the standard hotel breakfast. The rooms are spacious and great if traveling with children. The front desk clerk on check in was more interested in visiting with friends than answering any questions we had. The pool was late opening which was inconvenient for the 7 year old who wanted to swim before checking out. I would stay there again if unable to find a hotel with a staff that was somewhat interested in their guests.

Great breakfast

Posted Aug 27, 2015
The hotel is well priced and fine for an overnight stay. Ocean Shores is a busy seaside style resort so was busy and noisy. Staff were very pleasant and breakfast was great.

Close to beach excellent breakfast and hot tub

Posted Aug 27, 2015
Hot tub was clean and a wonderful temperature. Breakfast was awesome, anything and everything you could want. If you left hungry it was your fault. Decor and carpet worn a bit and the lock on the door to get in without going through the lobby was broken so you couldn't get in, which was a pain, but overall a nice place to stay. The room was very clean, except for the windows, which I can imagine to be difficult considering all the sand that goes through there but somehow they do it. Good experience overall.

Terrible overall experience mgmt discriminate

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: Management behavior
The owner who is Asian couple are very discriminating and bias. They treat you nicely only if you are Asian or white. We booked 2 double bed and a sofa bed suite which clearly stated 5 people occupancy; we were 2 adults and 3 kids. She told us since we book thru Expedia and Expedia charge hotel 20% we would have paid extra for occupancy because breakfast if free, that made us feel embarrassed she kept repeating herself next time she will charge extra in-front of other guest multiple times. When I raised concern that it is stated clearly under policies suite is fine for family of five her husband THREATENED US TO CALL COPS ON ME AND HE DID; I felt insulted and disappointed and sad they ruined my vacation and harassed me. I am highly educated decent woman these people treated us very disrespectfully. The lady did apologize later but it was too late already.

Breakfast very good but busy.

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Good hotel for the price. Close to the beach and other shops and restaurants. Room large and clean and free wifi. Breakfast was good, cinnamon rolls, bacon, sausage and eggs. But not much seating and long waits for food. But it is complimentary. Would stay again.

Recent change in ownership and name.

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: The interior was tidy, rooms were clean, breakfast and newspaper was included.
Cons: The exterior needs work, there were a lot of seagulls and their droppings everywhere. Pool light was out and dial was broken on the Jacuzzi control.
Location: On the beach, all rooms with view.
Formerly part of the Guesthouse chain of motels Morning Glory is now locally owned.

needs updating

Posted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: not much
Cons: total update
Location: really close to beach and shops
hotel was a bit dated. carpet in room was old and uneven. cleanliness was good but doubt we would stay there again unless a major renovation took place. even outside looked aged even with a new coat of paint-lipstick on a pig.
