Overpriced for the area/amenities

Posted Apr 11, 2014
I was disappointed that the view of the ocean from a second floor balcony was only a line on the horizon, and that it was not possible to walk to the beach directly from the hotel through the dunes due to water barriers. The room was adequate and well provisioned.

The hotel was great until out last night they put people on both sides of is and they ran back and forth and loud. Letting their kids scream and run and jump off beds until 1 am.

Pros: Beautiful room with a beautiful view.
Cons: Add a restraunt and have roomservice.
Location: Lots to do in Ocean Shores. Or just relax in a very serene atmosphere.
I was able to check in early which worked out wonderfuly for me. I was able to enjoy myself for a day alone before my husband joined me there and I loved the room.

Mother's Day at Canterbury

Posted May 13, 2013
Pros: Location and kitchen
Cons: The heat in the room would not shut off
We had a nice stay...quiet... Had I known the full price, which was never quoted on internet booking, I would not have stayed. I can kennel both my dogs and still spend a night at the beach, in just as nice a place, for a lot less than $217 a night...i was very disappointed in the $168 starting reservation and the ending cost out the door.

Pros: the area is nice
Cons: the long walk to the beach
Location: Not exactly on the way to anywhere
It is quite a long walk to the beach. The rooms are somewhat dated, but nice.

Good value, one glitch

Posted Jan 8, 2012
Pros: Individual rooms, independently owned.
Cons: The broken internet.
Location: Ocean-facing hotel a short walk from local restaurants and amenities
The hotel room was a good size, clean and comfortable, with a small balcony overlooking the ocean and full kitchen amenities. I was very pleased with the condition of the place overall. Unfortunately, the advertised free wireless internet wasn't working. Neither the hotel staff nor the technical staff at the service provider's helpline number were able to fix the problem during my stay. Without that irritation, the hotel would have rated a 5.
