Very neat and cleanPosted Sep 22, 2015
This hotel was extremely clean and spacious. Wifi was decent. Continental breakfast was ok. Definitely much better than some of their reviews noted!!

Spend $20 - $30 more. You'll be glad you did.Posted Jun 16, 2015
Location: This motel is in the extreme southern part of Abilene, near Abilene Regional Medical Center Hospital. I don't know of any attractions nearby.
The room was hot, with the AC unit wheezing like a pneumonia patient. Furnishings were old and stained. They cheerfully assigned me a different room which was somewhat cooler (with no wheezing AC unit), but there was no volume on the TV. At this point after having moved my belongings once, I just stayed. The room never fully cooled off to my liking. The bed should have been replaced 10 years ago. There was a bug crawling in the bathroom. When I checked out and told the desk clerk about these issues, he said I should have called him about the TV and he could have fixed that from the front desk... (???) No, I will not be staying there again.

If the Termites Don't Get You the Bedbugs Will.Posted May 30, 2015
Pros: The landscaping.
Cons: Have clerk/owner be honest disclose at 4 P.M. check-in why he had deliberately changed our reservation and given us options to move and/or relocate.
Location: This location has rude staff person, out of order air conditioning, termites, bed bugs and semi-cleaned rooms. Stay here if you dare.
I made a reservation through Expedia for a king size bed/non-smoking room at Antilley Inn [Abilene, TX]. Upon arriving and after checking in I noticed the room had two beds in it and not the king sized bed I had reserved. So now I feel stuck with this room because it's one of those Expedia deals (no cancellation or refunds) and find a swatch of blood on the bathroom door. I call the clerk/owner, he comes right over and tells me he ans his wife clean the rooms and it's not blood, it's jam. The air conditioning doesn't work right in our room either. All night it's set to 60 degrees and in the morning it's probably in the upper 70's. Sometime in the night I found and killed a termite that must have gotten inside when I opened the door there were several hanging out around the door that night. I called Expedia they couldn't do anything about fixing the problem, except finally giving me two choices. One, put us in the room with a king bed and out of order air conditioner or refund without not penalty to get another room elsewhere. I told the Expedia guy that I would stay there since it was after midnight and my spouse is diabetic. In addition, this room had a terrible bedbug problem. The following morning I woke up with several bites and whelps all over my body. The room mix up was not a mistake. The only mistake was that I booked a room there through Expedia. Never again Expedia. Never again.
