Very nice hotel. Had some issues with our first room, but the night front desk staff resolved it by placing us in another room. Breakfast was tasty and the attendant kept it refilled nicely.

I saw wonderful reviews. I was disappointed to have a mediocre experience. The first night checking in close to midnight was great. The ladies in the front were helpful. Got in the room and I was exhausted. The sofa bed is not comfortable and the bedding doesn’t keep you warm when you have the ac on. In the morning, I noticed the room was dusty. Housekeeping should consider removing the dust especially in common areas of the room. The dishes were put away dirty from the previous guest’s stay. There was an old candy wrap in the cupboard. The breakfast was ok. The woman at the front desk during the day don’t greet guests. The pool was not clean and had a lawn chair in it. For the price I paid, I was not impressed especially for a Marriot Hotel

It was out of the way and not crowded. Good restaurant options almost within walking distance. Loved the size and shape of the room. Bed was comfortable. Close to ACU. Had a minor mechanical issue and was fixed promptly.

Unfortunately, this hotel didn't live up to its 9.0 rating. We were in town to see my son, who goes to college at ACU, and celebrate Easter with him. I wanted to find a hotel within a short driving distance of Crutcher Field, where we would spend several nights watching him play ball. We weren't going to have a ton of quality time with him due to his schedule, so for our downtime, I hoped we could relax back at the hotel and he could sleep on the pull-out couch. When I entered the room, it was apparent I would not have him come to the hotel. The room was overall dirty; the surface areas, including the walls in the bedroom and bathroom area, the fridge, lamp shade, and floors, didn't look like they had been wiped down or cleaned from prior use. There were fingerprints and grime on some of the surfaces. The pull-out couch was gross and had stains/spots on it. There is no way I'd sleep on that, let alone did I sit on it. I was very disappointed. I had stayed at another hotel right next to this one and thought it would be the same quality, so I wanted to try somewhere new for future reference with our future trips to Texas.

The hotel is not nice. We rented a suite. It came with a kitchen which I had never seen before as it had a full sized refrigerator and a range too to cook on. The room was far from clean. Behind the couch was nasty stuff and you could tell it hadn’t been moved for sometime to clean. The windows had handprints all over them. The bed sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast wasn’t bad but not great. When we first got to breakfast, there was nothing out. But after requesting more items, they put more stuff out. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Huge room, nice in all but the fact the toilet flush was broken so chain pulling needed. The flush handle screw portion was severely worn meaning many weeks of others trying to fix it at a minimum. 7 dollar part. But that's Abilene.

Room was very dirty. Stains on pull out couch, ripped mattress protector. Even the walls had stains. It had a weird smell to it too. Only stayed a night, will not be returning.

The gravy on the breakfast buffet was so salty that no one could eat it . When we ask the breakfast attendant about it she said she has requested something different but that is all the company will get her . It wasn’t consumable . Such a waste

Overall a good stay
Staff for check in was awesome. 2nd night front desk lady was not as nice. It was clean. Pillows were terrible and there are clearly some foundational issues as you could feel the unevenness of the floors in the halls and bathroom tiles on the floor were all uneven and cracked. Overall a good stay. Was a little pricey for the hotel BUT it was family weekend at the local university.

Did not like that no where was I told on expedia or hotel info there was a $100 pet fee. Hotel states pet friendly. I understand a $30 to $50 fee but $100 is excessive. Especially with no statement of the fee.

Overall my stay was good. The staff at this hotel are excellent! Denise is an amazing manager. The hotel does show signs of wear and tear. Carpet in the room was ragged in spots. Looks like it might be time for some upgrades. There was also an issue with the lock on my door that needs to be addressed.

From the moment we arrived, we had a wonderful experience. The lobby was pretty and welcoming, the staff were super friendly, and check-in was a breeze. Our room was clean and nice, with a king bed, sofa, small kitchen table, and kitchen had refrigerator, microwave, sink and plenty of cabinet and counterspace, although we didn't need it. The TV had not only the cable channels but also the ability to login to our Netflix, etc. Unfortunately, I have recently stayed at other places that didn't have that option - I would think that would be standard by now. The breakfast was included and substantial - eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, waffles, bagels, etc. I have traveled quite a bit lately and this is one of the best experiences I have had, especially for the price. Would definitely stay there again the next time I'm in Abilene.
