Lovely hotel, few tweets needed to make it perfect

Lovely hotel and very friendly staff, happy to help and overall experience here was excellent, although there are a few things that could be tweaked. 1. lighting - the overall lighting in the room is not brilliant - especially in the bathroom area, also the whole system is controlled by a master switch which needs to be on to turn the lights on in the bathroom area itself - particularly annoying if you get up in the night without wanting to wake your partner up. 2. storage - having flown long haul to Abu Dhabi we would have liked more than a single wardrobe for storage - having stayed at The Hilton, The Intercontinental and Al Raha Beach Hotel, they all offer larger storage than here, and whilst the room itself was large the storage availability isn’t really enough. A little bit of style over substance. 3. consistency - the alcoholic beverages on offer are very strong, which for some may be a huge plus, but I had to send two drinks back. As I say, overall this hotel is fantastic, and the staff were great. Our room on the 6th floor was large, airy with fantastic views of the Grand Mosque. The bed was of good quality and comfortable without being overly soft/hard. Sheets were changed regularly and turn down service was done every night. The cleaners are fantastic and when we did manage to see them, they always asked if we wanted any extra tea/coffee etc. I would definitely stay here again. Overall I would give the hotel 8/10

Lovely hotel

Pros: Super friendly staff, beautiful views on the river side, good quality breakfast and surprisingly kids friendly.
Cons: Only criticism and its not a reflection on the hotel was we didnt enjoy the lebanese restaurant.
Location: Reasonable distance to all the tourist areas and not far from the airport.
Absolutley perfect, Staff were super polite and helpful, I cannot fault anything. For a hotel of this size it was very family friendly and kids are not seen as problem. Whatever you asked for they tried their best to help. The breakfast was very nice and good quality. Ive been to many hotel and Fairmont Bab Al Bahr rate highly above them. Everything was kept clean and well maintained.

Nice hotel with spacious rooms

I booked this hotel on a last minute basis using the expedia app. I booked 2 nights thinking i could use my entertainer coupon to get 1 night free. Unfortunately, I learned you have to book through the hotel directly in order to use the coupon. The room was extremely comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed was very soft and the bathroom facilities were top notch. The mini bar offered various types of libations with chasers. The only drawback I have with the hotel is that I was not acknowledged as an Expedia VIP guest and thus did not receive the full VIP treatment. Upon check out did i inquire about VIP package and told the receptionist i did not receive the service. He apologized for the oversight and gave me 20% off my food and beverage charges. The gesture was ok in comparison to the rest of the VIP services i was suppose to receive (free room upgrade, welcome package, and discounts). It was the sole reason i choose this hotel over other cheaper 5 star hotels. In the future, I'll make sure to inform them of my Expedia VIP status. Overall, nice hotel.

Although the staff were exceptional, room, specifically the furniture, walls and flooring were in poor condition. Room felt dirty and tired.

STYLISH LUXURY WITH EXCELLENT SERVICE

Pros: almost everything. our room was splendid; service truly good and our bed divine. food varied and delicious. GOLD FLOOR FOOD BEVERAGES AND ACCOMMODATI.
Cons: NO SPA; NO STEAM ROOM. I COULD NOT BELIEVE AN HOTEL OF THIS CALIBRE HAD NONE OF THESE ESSENTIAL FACILITIES THAT EVEN SOME 2 * S HAVE. DISAPPOINTED.
Location: LOCATION OK. BEACH PRETTY DULL AS NO WAVES OR SEA MOVEMENT. DISTANCE TO MOST MALLS ETC. SOME DISTANCE
FROM OUR ARRIVAL UNTIL OUR DEPARTURE, THE SERVICE WAS IMMACULATE. ALL IN A STYLISH SETTING. THE GOLD FLOOR AND OUR GOLD ROOM WERE JUST LOVELY AND EVERY DETAIL CATERING TO OUR EVERY NEED. WE STAYED OVER AN EID HOLIDAY SO THE HOTEL WAS PACKED AND ACCESS TO THE POOL WAS NOT EASY BUT I CAN SEE WHY ALL THOSE PEOPLE WOULD WANT TO STAY !

Overall ok but not wow

Pros: Very friendly staff. Not always comfortable in English, but quite helpful nonetheless.
Cons: Its all in the small details that the Fairmont brand has built its reputation on and that are missing in this property.
Location: The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is stunning and magnificent. A must visit for anyone
Although the hotel has a nice location and provides plenty of friendly staff, it does miss on a few fundamentals. Planning to only spend a 2-day weekend means that the pool is at the centre of the planned family activity. Being greeted with a murky pool water did not inspire any confidence in swimming in it unfortunately. When this was shared with the staff at hotel checkout the smily response did not provide any sort of explanation nor effort towards customer satisfaction. The over-crowded breakfast restaurant was also another issue on the 2nd day where the restaurant manager himself appeared to work just as hard as his understaffed Team. Although one must recognize the effort, a Fairmont hotel brand should be better at handling peak crowds to ensure a consistent experience for all guests.

Excellent customer service

The staff was superb. They went out to ensure that you had a wonderful and enjoyable stay. I forgot to take names but they were wonderful. One need to drive due to location. Free shuttle service offered and local bus locally. I never use the shuttle service or local bus.
