Very nice hotel close to Downtown.

Pros: Location, Staff
Cons: Room was smelling a bit weird. May be because of smoking, although the room was a non smoking one.
I prefer this to other hotels primarily when the stay is long, say over 3 days. Lots of restaurant and other places near by to explore.

Disappointing.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Ramada's home made rule of extracting money at the reception from tourists, as city tax, if genuine, needs to be clarified at the time of booking.
Location: Close to a mall. Nothing great. Some decent restaurants for a quick bite.
On arrival we were told at the reception: 1) Booking is for only two people and we have to pay extra for another person. We paid and booked a room for three adults. Luckily we carried a photocopy of our booking. 2) We have to pay 45 UAE Dhirams,apparently a city tax. We did. Had no choice. There is no such thing as city tax in UAE in hotels. 3) Room service very poor. 4) Staff- Pleasant.

Dear Mohit, Thank you to share your feedback and let me clarify about the taxes. In May 2016, Abu Dhabi authorities have announced that from June 1st, 2016 new taxes will be implemented for the Emirate : a) a new AED 15.00 Destination fee per night and per room occupied, This has nothing to do with the booking and must be paid directly at the property. 3 nights = 45 AED b) a new 4 % Municipality fee Please be understand that taxes and fees are not for the hotel but for the country and Ramada is only collecting it on their behalf. The above taxes are for ALL hotels in Abu Dhabi Emirate and by the way the same are applied already for couple of years in other Emirates as well, Dubai for example has the same for more than 3 years. We hope to welcome you again in future and without misunderstanding of taxes and extra charges. Kind regards The Management

Downtown hotel with mouldy smelling rooms

Location: Abu Dhabi mall within walking distance and a few local restaurants and shops. You'll need to get a taxi if you need to go anywhere else of interest
Unfortunately this was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms stunk of mould and cigarettes (even though it was supposedly a no smoking room). The beds sheets were often stained. As a result my stay was very uncomfortable and I could not wait to return home. Loud, heavy bass from the top floor nightclub until 3am every morning - could be heard from our third floor room. Fight outside the hotel one morning as people left the night club. Hotel restaurant food was horrible. Hotel room key cards needed to be refreshed every 24 hours - complete inconvenience. I could go on but it's not worth my time - I would NOT recommend this hotel for holidays or families or anyone that needs a hotel for longer than 1 night. If it wasn't for Abu Dhabi mall within walking distance I don't know how we would have survived. I think this hotel is only suitable business travellers that need somewhere to lie there head for one or two nights.

Quieter in the day than night

There is a karaoke bar on lower floor and nightclub on top floor, both start making noise around 11 and go until 4-5 in the morning and it is mostly locals partying every night of the week. swimming pool is postage stamp size and shares a door with the bar, weird, uncomfortable setup. Had a cockroach in the bathroom one morning, probably also looking for quiet place to sleep.

Dear Valued guest, Yes we have 2 bars on the roof top which operate from the evening. The pool open from 8 am until 6 pm. Sorry for the negative impression regarding the sound from the bars, it's happening mostly during the week-end and we working on a solution to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Pros: Fast & Free wifi
Cons: Small Pool
Location: Close to Abu Dhabi mall and all the restaurants.
Excellent customer service. All the staff; from the entrance to welcome me, to reception, housekeeper and bar tenders at Vertical are all friendly.They made feel really special .
