Service at the counter was excellent but management and leadership were poor and uncreative. I found stains on the bedsheet and the mattress. The manager at the hotel flat out told me I could take my business somewhere which I did for a difference of $30 dollars. I was willing to pay $150 to sleep on the stained mattress instead of $180 dollars.

Internet was unusable for more than a majority my three week stay. Room was wildly over-priced. Above what I was quoted on 'Hotels.com'. The furniture was uncomfortable and lacked space. TV is outdated and not user friendly. Shower was slow to drain and would back up into your standing area less than 5 minutes into your wash. Everyone is looking for ways to take advantage of visitors to Accra; Holiday Inn is no exception.

Good daySorry for disappointing you, yes we had a major fiber cut so the internet was a challenge for a few days but we have rectified it since. We in no way take advantage of our visitors, on the contrary we do our utmost best to make sure all our guests are happy. We again apologize for not meeting your expectations.
Rooms are outdated and smells moldy wet and parts of the ceilings are having leaks and falling off, the carpets to the rooms are water stained and smell wet

The property is very old, and the general standard is poor. Basic thinks such as towels are not in good order. The bed is tiny and the sheets are basic. Light switches are not close to bed like all hotels, this one is opposite the bed.

We are sorry about your experience. Our newer refurbished rooms have larger beds and switches next to the beds, as we continue to refurb all other rooms.
Friendly service but rooms were jaded and in need of upgrade. Approached by hookers on the terrace (in front of staff). Twin room, not queen bed. Helpful airport transfer. Breakfast adequate. Just needs a lot of upgrading to meet the rather hefty single night hotel charge.

Getting more outdated every year. Not worth the money. You can find better hotels in Accra near the Airport.

The lobby and pool area are absolutely beautiful. There are many beautiful sculptures. It was extremely disappointed with the staff. When I went to the bar to order a drink I was completely ignored by the bartender. When I was sitting in a smoking area which I've been told was a smoking area for two days another employee came up and told me it was not a smoking area. The absolute worst time however was you have to use your key card to get to the floor of your room. I have two ribs tendons and shoulder reconstruction surgery which was part of the reason why we wanted to stay at the Holiday Inn before proceeding home to a craw. The key card does not work in the elevator and as the results at one point I had to walk down seven flights of stairs. This was extremely painful and I was in tears when I reach the bottom. I waited a few moments collected myself and then went up to the front desk and ask to speak privately with a manager as I did not want others to be privy to the conversation for the sake of the Holiday Inn. I was told repeatedly that he was sorry for the incident however no recourse or compensation was ever offered. It was clear that this was not a large concern for them however it is for me and my surgeon and it was unfortunate and I am in pain now still three days later while on vacation. I'm very disappointed that nothing was done and that the apologies given were so Hollow.

It's not bad. But there are room for improvement. They enforce wearing masks in dining room, but just to go and touch all cutlery with no gloves. So what's the purpose of this. In rooms they can at least have floor mats Infront of bed. Also no slippers is available.

The food was very good, the room were clean and comfortable, the hotel is conveniently located close to the shopping mall and airport.
During my stay, there were problems receiving cable TV programs.
A nice amenity to add would be a microwave in the room.

The hotel was very deceiving. The lobby was so nice while the rooms were terrible. The elevators are very small. The hallways and rooms had a bad odor and overall the rooms were just bad.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate your comment. We do apologies for not making it clear to you that we do have juices but we serve from the bar as part of the breakfast buffet and it s not displayed in a dispenser at the buffet as it was pre-covid.
We will correct that with the team so they ask all our guests if they need any juices we have on offer for the day.

Is the Holiday Inn Accra, racist?
Although Covid measures were in place they were not neutrally applied
For instance, I was told to wear a face covering when I approached the bar and that is the correct approach however, a local man approached the bar moments after me and that person was not asked to don his mask
Clearly that could be misconstrued as racism
I do not think I will be back at the Holiday Inn for that very reason
