Cheaper, ?

Posted Apr 25, 2017 on Orbitz
I checked in late in the night. The room that I reserved was checked out to another customer. However, I was able to get a room. Funny!! I don't know what I think about the mirrors! Maybe in my youth!!! Coffee was good, but the cup was too small. Breakfast was to expected. It did seem rather dark. Before I reserve a room, check to insure the pool is in working order. I always look forward to a swim.

Thank you for your comments, the mirrored wall actually makes the room feel larger, we remove them from a room and the room felt very small. You are correct the coffee cups are small, we let do let you have all the refills you would like, you might be surprised as how the smaller cups reduce waste, our breakfast area coffee is a nice coffee, since the owner of the property and I are both big coffee drinkers. As to the pool, I hope you were not overly disappointed, we closed it about two years ago and removed it from all advertising. Thank you for staying with us and we do hope to serve your lodging needs in the future.

This is a nice economical motel with a breakfast, that has made a couple of our visits to ADA work out well. We will return.

Thank you for your comments. Our goal is to be an alternative to the national brands. I am glad you mentioned the breakfast since we modified it last year, we like to know what our guest think.

I did go back and stay a second night.

I did go back and stay a second night. It was a Best Western a few years prior, and it looks like they have kept the BW standards. Clean room at a great price.

Kevin, Thank you for your comments. We choose to leave BW a few years back, since as an older property, the required design changes would not sale more rooms or increase our rates. Since we have left we do attempt to maintain all Cleanliness standards as we had while with BW. We have made some changes and leaving has also allowed up to lower our rates by $20.00 plus per night, while the national brands have continued to increase rates.

Good hotel for the money.

Pros: Fairly central location for my needs. Generally quiet except for daytime construction project next door.
Cons: Repair cracked walls, fix or replace sticking doors and some new paint in the rooms.
Location: Close to Applebee's, Pizza Hut, shopping center, etc.
Clean, comfortable, close to downtown, shopping and a few restaurants. A little rundown with sticking doors & cracks in the walls (earthquakes?). Polite, helpful staff on duty (business was a bit slow wth few guests). No mats in the bathtubs to prevent slipping in the tub. Free breakfast was fairly typical & adequate with pretty good biscuits, sausage & gravy, waffles, muffins, packaged sweet rolls, cold cereal, etc.

For the price point, this hotel was amazing.

Pros: The staff. It really makes all the difference to find people who are friendly, helpful, and sociable. See my comments above.
Cons: The only thing I noticed was that the pool was closed for repairs. This didn't affect me at all, but might disturb families who need the pool for fun
Location: The location is a 10 minute drive to the hospital, minutes from Walmart and restaurants.
This was our second stay within 10 months. Hotel staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. There was a mixup with the computer when we arrived, but the front desk clerk worked very hard to fix the problem and maintained a warm and friendly demeanor during what was probably a very frustrating process. I know I get frustrated with computers! The rooms were extremely clean (which wasn't a surprise, as they had been that way the first time we stayed). The free breakfast included a good variety of options, and was also quite welcome, as 3 grandkids came to stay with us the second night (we actually asked to change rooms to a set of rooms with a connecting door, which was accommodated with a friendly smile and with incredible ease). The beds were pretty darn comfortable as well. Over the course of my career, I have stayed in hundreds of hotels - including some with 5 star ratings. The Raintree Inn was more accommodating and cleaner (and the beds more comfortable) than a lot of the other hotels I've stayed in. Add in the free breakfast and wifi, and this was an incredible value. Since I have family in Ada, I am sure we will be looking for a hotel room again in the near future, and we WILL be staying at the Raintree Inn every time.

Thank you for your comments. As you have been a past guess also, we have permanently closed our pool. We have taken all advertising of it down and noted that it is closed at the desk also, since it can easily be seen from our desk.

It was an ok hotel. It wasn't the cleanest and most up to date. The tv had a bunch of channels that didn't work. The tub had a bunch of stains and the ceiling and walls had the paint coming off. The people were nice. The breakfast bar was pretty simple but it tasted good.

Kyle, thank you for your comments, as to the tv line up, since the local cable company made changes, we no longer have the ability to remove everything they show. We have always maintained extended cable with some 60 plus channels, in the past we did block all of the access. We do have several painting projects about to start, we have been waiting on spring.
