The bed sheets were stained. The room have not light. There were no heat nor water heater while the temperature was 52 degré F. The front desk could not find our reservation. She wanted us to call Expedia a 2am while we were exhausted, our flight was delayed for 4 hours. They finally let us in but we could not stand the room. We try another but they were all the same.

i like everything, nothing unique but i was really disappointed because I ask to drop me at the airport early to check in because we had transit to another airport but the driver was late and i missed my flight and wait for another 2 hours in the airport with my 2 little kids, my kids were so hungry because we already in the waiting area there is no food around there and also we had a hard time finding the hotel shuttle after 20 hours of flight, it took us about 15 minutes, no sign that show us the property of the hotel is waiting for us, finally, I ask his ID and got our hotel to get rest

The property is in a safe quiet location. It has an excellent fitness facility and nice areas to sit inside or outside when guests visit. There is a gorgeous view of the city from the top floor. The staff is very friendly and the manager is exceptional. He went way out of his way to take care of any issue immediately and to accommodate every request. The owner is also very friendly and made a special effort to make me feel welcome. The massage service is also very nice. This hotel is across the street from a private international hospital which is nice (just in case of emergency) and within walking distance to a COVID testing center. It’s also a very short drive to the airport and only took minutes to get there. I very much enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come again.

Tizeze Hotel is conveniently close to the Addis Ababa Airport. The hotel is modest and well-priced and the staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Honestly, I received the best consideration and service from Bobby (guide/translator/host/new friend) and Kefyalew (driver/escort) than from any other location I traveled to. They saved my trip. During most of my time in Ethiopia (7 days), I was sick. I spent my first and last days in Addis Ababba. On the first day, I asked the front desk for a taxi to take me to a market in the late afternoon. They responded by sending for Bobby and arranging for him to take me around town and help me communicate in the shops. Upon my return to Addis Ababa, Bobby again joined me on a customized tour of the city. Kefyalew drove both days. He was very invested in sharing Ethiopian culture and experiences with me. He contributed to the itinerary and the timing. I highly recommend this dynamic duo to any travelers who want to guarantee they enjoy their time in Addis Ababa.

The Tizeze picked us up from the airport and the driver waited the extra time while we struggled through immigration and baggage claim. Teh hotel was close and I was so thanksful it had an elevator. Beds were comfortable and staff was great. Highly recommend.

Our fitness center is open everyday from 6 AM until 9:30 PM it's one of our complimentary services we provide to our guests; so our guests daily exercise shouldn't be interrupted while traveling.

Staff at the hotel were VERY friendly and helpful. However, I spent a great deal of time explaining that I had actually paid already via Hotels.com (and that this was not Expedia!). Eventually, we had that sorted. There was a plug in heater in the room that was appreciated. A hairdryer was available from reception. I really appreciated the shuttle to/from the airport (but make sure that you advise that your times of arrival/departure are "international time", as Ethiopia has their own localised view on time reference (international time + 6). Great selection of local beers in hotel bar and the barman was very helpful in guiding choice!

Nice hotel, excellent staff
Stayed for a weekend, the staff was very courteous, warm and receptive. Even the manager participated in welcoming guests and ensuring our comfort.The room was great and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with several meal and fresh fruit choices. Will definitely be staying there again.

Great Place to Stay for the Price
For the most part, this hotel was great, staff was polite, room and toilet was clean, bed was comfortable, spacious bedroom room with living room separate. The free wifi did work. There was only a small smell of humidity in the room, like the room needed to be aired out (ventilated). Small things were not available, like hotel custom flip flops (but we received flip flops) and toiletries, like complimentary tea or coffee. When we left the hotel, we got stuck in the elevated for like 5 to 10 minutes, which was a scary feeling, but afterwards it started to descend to the ground floor. However, overall experience I rate the Tizeze Hotel as a 4.5, because there is always room for improvement.

Nice looking hotel with friendly staff. Bathroom window curtain, rod and all, fell right off the second it was touched to be closed for privacy. Shower had no water pressure, and took close to ten minutes to get to warm. Never hot. Internet went down early on the first morning and never worked again for the remaining two days.

I made an overnight stay on transit. The hotel is very near the airport tucked in a residential area. The road off the highway is not the best but short. Very good experience I had.

Ended up in 3 rooms: first room was dirty, so got changed. In the second room, the flush did not work - hence stayed one night in the 3rd room, where the flush actually did not work either. Seems very bad value for money.

I couldn't have been happier at this hotel. The staff was incredible, the food was really good, it is a great price, and everything was really clean and comfortable. I was sad to leave. It is a bit of a walk to get downtown, which I didn't love at first, but quickly realized that it is a strong benefit of this hotel to be away fro, the noise, crowds and pollution. Fantastic stay.

Outstanding staff
From the time I was picked up at the airport, through meal service, business center assistance, and personal attention I found the entire staff to be professional and sincerely willing to help -- with a smile! One of my traveling companions became ill and the staff personally brought a nurse and assistant directly to the hotel and then accompanied us down the block to the medical clinic where we received excellent medical care. This was my third stay at the Tizeze and I have found the food to be excellent in every way -- the breakfast buffet is particularly pleasing. The service and accomodations match up well with any other hotels I have stayed in. I found the close proximity to the Bole airport to be a convenience as well.

This is a small hotel, newly constructed , this is good budget hotel. The rooms are very basic and there is no Airconditioning. What makes this hotel pleasant is the willingness of hotel staff to serve you the way you want. I would like to stay again not because of the comfort but because of the hospitality of the hotel staff.

unexpected gem in the city.
Not knowing what to expect once we arrived in Addis we were pleasantly surprised to arrive at the hotel. The ride and neighborhood threw us for a loop, but once inside of the gates to the hotel we were happy to get to our rooms. Tizeze's restaurant was very good and the staff is fantastic. I highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant. Good value for the money.

Unsurpassed service - Will always be my go-to hotel in Addis
We stayed at Tizeze on 3 separate occasions over the course of our 2 week Ethiopia trip. VERY convenient to the Addis/Bole airport (5 minutes). The staff was AMAZING at taking care of us! They were very accommodating and flexible at picking us up, check-in, check-out, & room service. Excellent on-site restaurant. Walking distance to local markets, modern shopping, restaurants, and movie theaters.

Good buy!
I spent three weeks in Ethiopia traveling north to south. This hotel was reasonably priced, comfortable, clean with a large room. The restaurant was outstanding! Staff very, very nice. On par with Jupiter Boles for a fraction of the cost.
